Enjoyed pools, easy access to very nice beach. Grounds were extremely well groomed. Public areas were clean and comfortable. Food and drinks were very good. We speak very little Spanish but had no problems communicating. All staff was super friendly and helpful. One negative, my sister contracted norovirus.

Staff was fantastic. Service was excellent. The property is a bit older but that does not really affect our experience. Food was good. Our kids loved the pools and kids activities.

Overall the place is nice, clean, very helpful and nice staff. The only downside is that only their buffet is the only options they have. Unfortunately all their ala carte restaurants are closed. So the "all inclusive" isn't really all inclusive as you do not have options where to eat.

we loved this place, stunning views, very friendly day staff. great beach, amazing coffee. Conciege Josh very helpful, we booked a great tour day through him. you can also rent jet skis from beach. excellent spa / massage there too

This hotel is nothing like the photos. The room is very outdated and dirty. We had few bugs in the room. Even though we booked for 2 nights, we could only stay for 1 night. Meal options are very limited and poorly serviced. Beach facilities are not convenient, especially for families with small kids.

The property is a bit tired but nice, the food was just ok - the specialty Italian restaurant is terrible (and empty) and the pizza place is terrible. The amin food place is decent and the seafood specialty restaurant was good. The check in was disappointing = no info given. We will have someone call you - which was just room service. There is a spa down the hill, a gift shop etc - had to figure everything ourselves. Might have been a language barrier. Not much English for a tourist destination.

The staff were amazing. The facility was old but clean. Showers worked good and water was hot. Beds were comfortable. The food was average, limited variety. Good fresh fruit every day and coffee was delicious. Only had an Italian restaurant and that was not good buffet style.

The property was built in the late 60's, so it is dated, but well kept. The buffet is pretty good; however, the Italian dining restaurant needs better quality meals.

We had an awesome vacation and enjoyed this place! Friendly staff, yummy food and snacks. Yes they had some renovation but it didn’t affect anything for us. Saw monkeys and birds all around the resort - so cool! Would def go back!

I travel there with my daughter sister and my niece the room needs to be updated. There was nothing in our minibar no room service like it says when you ask about things seems like no one knows or even wants to help. I would definitely suggest bringing your own things. You can’t even find a bottle of water everything is giving to you and plastic cups.

The walkability to the beach is very convenient, the shuttle service and the all inclusive is a nice touch. However, the facility is outdated. Our room was clearly not maintained, bathroom was moldy, full of termites and unclean. While it being a pet friendly hotel is not a bad thing, I don’t think raccoons and skunks should be left to roam about the facility uncontrolled. In general all the service people were very nice and care about doing a good job. The pool area is fun and they do try to have good entertainment at night.

We had no hot water one day and another day we had no cold water and our toilet didn't work. They didn't have a phone to call in case we needed anything. The front office is not very friendly. Getting around the hotel was hard. They would not wash the dishes. We had to ask for stuff. The food was not good at all and they didn't have a variety of food. I would not recommend this hotel. I would like to get some compensation back.

This is an older resort in an incredible setting. We loved that it caters to locals as well as international guests, and so it is a much more immersive Costa Rican experience. Food is plentiful, and also local/ we are not did the buffet, and found it good home style local food. Would return again!

Very difficult to write this email. I am not the person to complaint . However, I felt like it is necessary to say this for the sake of future travelers. I was here for 5 nights I had 3 issues out of my 5 day stay . No hot water / water leak in my room where my my personal belongings got wet . And No water at ALL! I was in excursions on a daily basis and coming tired, to just come back to my room and relax however, that was not the case !! Overall,run down , food , service response, personnel Communication amongst management needs major attention if they want people to still come back !! I could go on and on but I tried to just give it a quick respond .

This was our fifth time staying at Condovac. We feel it is the best budget all-inclusive in the area. The beach is amazing, the food is healthy and satisfying, the view from the open-air dining area is spectacular, the rooms are clean and spacious and the walk into town is safe and pleasant both during daylight hours and in the evening when it is dark. There is both a supermarket (with liquor and a pharmacy) and a very nice gift shop within walking distance of the resort. A bonus would be snorkeling right off the beach!

The romantic room with a veiw was awesome. Spacious with the a/c working great. Beautiful patio door opened to a private balcony with a beautiful ocean view. The staff tried very hard to give us different food choices at the restaurant. Fernanda was great in helping us with reservations. Service for dinner at the restaurant was always great with Ramon. Liquor choices were very limited, and they constanly ran out of prefered choices. The beach bar, that was supposed to be an upgraded bar, was out of wine at sunset.

Pros: view, pool Cons: everything else I felt deceived when I arrived. The place is run down and the ad pics they use are definitely from when the place was thriving. The all-inclusive is a waste of money. They serve the same meals at the buffet—which are not good—there is no variation. There is a ton of cross contamination going on with the use of one grill for all meals. There are other “restaurants” but if you look at my Google review you will see more information about that. My husband ended up getting very sick by day 5. We had to have a doctor come to our room, go to the pharmacy and he had to get shots and medication. We spent $250 on getting him well & missed out on our zipline tour. We stayed away from the hotel food & water they served the rest of the trip. The people who work there are not friendly—especially at the front desk. Hardly any English speakers at all. We did meet one girl and I slipped her some money the first day and she took care of us—even talking to the supervisor to get us a doctor. She checked on us the next day—no one else at the front desk cared. Also, they do not keep track of you going in and out, which is kind of scary. We tried to not let this detour our trip or get us down, until we got sick. After talking to a ton of locals—people at pharmacy and a restaurant right down the way called Ginger (so good!!)—we realized that it is very common at that resort. I promise you, you will be disappointed unless you have very low standards.

This property is on a very steep hill. The only good way to get to the beach or from the rooms back up to the pools is by shuttle. I was at the property for 3 nights. I had no hot water the entire stay. I reported it in the morning after the 1st and 2nd nights. They provided only 1 washcloth even though there were 2 people in the room. I reported this also and finally got a second washcloth when I happened to catch the housekeeper in the area of my room. When I checked out after 3 nights, I again reported the lack of hot water. The desk clerk did not seem concerned. Overall, it was not a terrible property, but I would still rate it as below average.
