The staff is wonderful! They are friendly, welcoming. The taxi services on point. The food, delicious! Loved the people! But the carpets need to be shampooed or replace all together and the beds need thicker comforters. Overall is a good hotel.

Hotel limpio, buen estacionamiento y amplio. Me alegro que hayan tomado la sugerencia de que después de conciertos puedan tener opciones de comida para la madrugada, aunque deben mejorar la atención a las mesas, el tiempo para llevar la cuenta o factura, la manera de cobro, etc.. Por otro lado el primer nivel de las habitaciones se siente el olor a comida en el pasillo, las amas de llaves tocan las puertas temprano si no tienes el aviso en la puerta de no molestar y también el ruido de limpieza de la aspiradora fue muy molesto. Esperamos que estos puntos sean para mejoría.

This was my first time out of the country and I picked this place based off of views. This place is about 20-30 minutes from SDQ airport. This place has everything you need and it’s so beautiful. The only problem was the mold smell in the room. The rooms were clean but they just had that smell. This place is made and build like a resort. If looking for a quick getaway I do recommend.

Great staff, easy parking. However they have a serious humidity issue in this facility. The rooms smell like mold is growing under the carpets, everything feels wet such as the sheets, pillows, etc. After leaving my clothes out of my suitcase, they felt wet as well.

Waited at check in for over 15 mins because there was only 1 agent. The other appeared, went to the back and came out after 5 mins to assist. At the room the air conditioner wasn't working properly so we had the bellboy come back with maintenance to see what was wrong with the panel. Same thing with the control of the tv, maintenance came over 2 times to check it. Lastly the next morning housekeeping was so loud they woke us up at 7:30am. Overall not a good experience.

This is a beautiful hotel, very nice. Staffs are nice and helpful. Housekeepers need more training and professionalism, they opened the door on me at least 3 times without knocking while we were not in a decent way to be seen. And the idea of not about to receive my guess in my room for a visit is a big downside for me. My trip was on our birthday and for my birthday I got a little surprise waiting in my room for me from them, which was extremely nice of them. I hope they change the rules so I can go back again.

Run down and miss managed supposed 4 star hotel
Room was run down, bugs crawling in the bathroom, badly designed bathroom as well. Locked out of my room multiple times, due to keycard malfunctioning, half the time room wasn’t restocked properly with towels, water, etc… Gym was really run down with frankly dangerous machinery, pool was designed for bathing, not for swimming in. Food was mediocre at best. I have to return to Santo Domingo for work up to 3 times a year. But I will not be staying at Barceló again if I can help it.
