"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day. Lawrence offered us a ride...

"We loved this hotel! Great value! The room was clean and spacious. The air conditioning worked great. The staff were exceptional! They were kind and helpful and very welcoming. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was good. Drinking water was provided in the hallway. We liked being a few minutes outside of town to escape the busy tourist strip. It was a 7 minute taxi ride ($2 one way) to the downtown strip and taxis were very easy to catch. There are fancier options out there, but for the price, this hotel was an excellent choice for us!"
