« Only a one night stay with our son and new wife to celebrate their wedding that day. Staff were amazing and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Made use of the pool and sauna and quiet areas although had to stop using the pool for the aerobics class. Had dinner in the Upper Deck restaurant which was lovely. « I was looking for a hotel with an indoor swimming pool, a room with a sea view, close to the city centre and within 130£. And I found the Cumberland. The indoor swimming pool is in the hotel next door ( Suncliff). The staff and the management were brilliant. Always helpful and friendly at all stages. The breakfast starts at 7 am and was quite comfortable. The restaurant and the bar are very cosy. The only negative part is that the walls between rooms are very thin but… the clientele was good...
