The bed was clean, but we could feel a couple of springs when lying down. Breakfast first morning was a 6/10 the bread looked and tasted cheap. The bacon was streaky and fatty. Second morning the bread was better quality but bacon still streaky and fatty 7/10\. Nice idea to offer complimentary G&T. Good food. The GM was very welcoming checking me in and showing me my room. The staff upgraded us to a larger room because of the extra stairs we had to climb with our luggage. They did not charge us. Lovely stay at the Bear of Burton. We treated our sons and their partners to an evening meal and overnight stay. The whole evening was great. The atmosphere was perfect. The staff were all extremely helpful, and our rooms were delightful. I can’t fault the meal, the service, the room or the lovely breakfast. Easy to check in and room was nice - very comfortable bed, a few quirks in the bathroom with a very low mirror over the sink that has you bent over to use and you can’t open the window to let out the steam. We had breakfast and dinner whilst here. Both meals were excellent- good choice and very tasty. Good selection of drinks as well.
