"I loved this property. It’s a smaller city and we had a car so we drove to the train station and hopped on the train. The host at San Rocco was wonderful, very accommodating, handled our requests quickly and courteously. The restaurant is run by a man and his wife who previously owned a restaurant. The restaurant on Saturday evening was full to capacity because loyal customers have followed him to his new location. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. Some of the rooms have been renovated and some are in the process so are a bit dated but super clean, good mattress and the view from our bedroom and kitchen was stunning!"

"We were very pleased with the space. We were concerned that the kichen might night be adequate based on the pictures, but it worked perfectly. The beds are comfortable. Lots of comfortable clean space. This was the perfect space to launch our visits to other cities by car and train. Florence, Lucca, Sienna, Montecatini Alto and more. Mosquitos were an issue so we didn’t spend as much time outdoors as we would have liked. Fortunately the living room is spacious and bright. We'd open the screened windows and door and have plenty of fresh air."

"We have just returned from a very pleasant and relaxing week at the Old Bishop's House, despite the weather not being great every day! The house is very comfortable, with a lot of character reflecting its age and history. It has everything needed as a holiday home for a relaxing break, in extensive grounds. The pool is a good size, though there is no deep end for diving. There is also some slight noise from the road and car wash at the garage next door. However, these aren't big issues.Davide and his father are great hosts, with much useful information about the area. The Restaurante la Panche next door has fantastic food, and like the local people in the villages, they are lovely and friendly. The scenery in the area and in the mountains is superb and spectacular. Great co-op in Maresca which is close and also beautiful.This is a wonderful area and lovely house. (But one suggestion - if you can get here by avoiding Pisa airport, you would be doing yourself a favour. It's a shambles, especially departures). "

"We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful villa in Tuscany near Pistoia and it exceeded all our expectations. We were two families of four and the villa fit us perfectly with plenty of space left over. In fact, a third family of four would have easily fit comfortably as well. The villa itself is spotless, very well maintained and everything works flawlessly. The layout is practical and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. Our children absolutely loved the large pool and the spacious lawn where they could play and run freely all day. The location was ideal for us, peaceful and quiet yet just the right distance from the nearest grocery store and local amenities. It felt like our own private Tuscan paradise, perfectly nestled in nature without being too remote. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended for families or groups looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in the heart of Tuscany."
