First, I wish the staff person would have been willing to waive the $35 plus tax (ends up being $39) “early check in” fee if you’re coming after 12, especially when they have the ability to waive it if they want. "charming and located in a central area to wineries. I chose to stay in a smaller inn to support local business. The place was empty when we arrived at 2pm for check in between tastings. We were told by the front desk our room wasn't ready until 3pm and offered us a pool key to use the restroom. We said no problem we'd come back after our day tasting local wine. Front desk staff was nice when we can back in the evening and checked in again. Design flaw is that they have a double panel of curtains but the black out only cover the sides of the window and not the center. We had bright light coming into our room all night. It looked like day time. It was difficult to get rest. Additionally I was nervous people could see inside since we could see outside. Morning of check out I get a knock at the door 10 min. Before 11am.I let them know we are still in the room and will be leaving shortly. We were running 10 mins. Behind schedule due to the time change. At 11:05am I get a call to the room following up on our eta to leave the property. I share we are running 10 mins. Behind and will be leaving in 5 mins. Which we do. On our way out we make eye contact with a staff member of the hotel. 10 minutes later I get another call on my cell phone from the staff asking when we plan on leaving. I let them know we've already left the property and I was being sincere when I said we just needed 10 minutes. I've never experienced this before and would never go back. "
