It is a very convenient location to go to the beach, a beautiful beach. The surroundings are night are a little tough, you have to take a taxi to be safe instead of walking around.

There were a couple problems in the room , the room was outdated , the hair dryer in the room didn’t work , the toilet flush did not work , the bathroom had problems shower box leaking water into the bathroom floor. There was no blankets , the sheets were very thin and cheap , the towels were old and stained . The T.V outdated and only had local channels , with poor connection. The good qualities, were the morning hotel breakfast, the location , staff were very kind, and the WiFi.

The hotel is *very* dated and is in need of renovation. Showers are electric and hot water would stop and go. Showers were leaking all over the restroom. On the brightside the location is pretty good, right off the beach and it's 15 min ride from the city center.

This property is literally in the heart of the entertainment district with a popular beach right across the road! They are reasonably priced restaurants as soon as you step on the streets. The area is also rich in culture and activities to suit your needs and wants. The only thing I didn’t like about the hotel is that they only served breakfast other than they is no food available throughout the day. But they are lots of places close by to get snacks and what ever you may need. So if your looking for location in Salvador this is the spot.

LOCATION / FRIENDLY STAFF / BREAKFAST FOR THE WIN
This is a basic hotel and the pictures on the website look better than the actual rooms. That being said, this hotel has a lot of excellent points. SERVICE: The staff were exceptional. We arrived early (9 am) and checkout was not until 2. The staff helped us store our luggage so we could enjoy the local sites. We were able to check in about 12. We checkout the next day at 9 am and stored our luggage there until almost 10pm at no charge. The staff helped us with our bags as the steps in front of the hotel were steep. BREAKFAST: The breakfast had a good mix of American foods (pancakes, eggs) and traditional Brazilian foods. The fruit platters were beautifully presented. It was very clean. LOCATION: The beach is literally across the street. There are two forts within view and the Lighthouse / Christus were both an easy walk. It was easy to access uber. We stayed a Saturday night in August and even though it was winter there was a lot of activity going on to all hours of the night. We didn't mind the extra noise and music and energy but my parents did not so much. HOTEL: The hotel rooms were very clean but very basic. There were only sheets on the bed and no blankets and we couldn't figure out how to work the air for a while so we got really chilled for a while. I had paid extra for a sea view but my room did not have one... but as we asked for an received an early check-in I can't complain. Those in our party that had the sea view enjoyed the sound of the ocean all night.

Hit hotel is very well located, right by the best beach in Salvador. Staff are incredibly helpful and very kind. Breakfast is delicious and you can order tapioca. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location in front of the water but the hotel leaves much to be desired and I have since found other options in the area which are more suitable to my particular needs. When I arrived I was given a room on the top floor but tha air conditioner would start and stop and return to 25 C, which is considerably warm, and then shut off. The bellboy came and tried to get it to work but couldn't. My only option was a first level room right next to the elevator, and we all know what that means. Noise from the guests, breakfast preparation (just a few feet away) and even the front desk staff jovially calling out to the staff members at 5 AM. Now I am basing this on MY experience. The upper floors could very well be more quiet. Both rooms I had were ample in size although the "king" bed is actually two singles pushed together. Air in the second room was not working well either. The boardwalk in front of the hotel is rather nice but the restaurants seem to cater to families. Most menu items were for couples with single diners paying 70% of the value. Easy taxi ride to historic center and nice atmosphere outside the hotel day and night. Still I fo not think I would stay thete again.

Cheap motel in tourist beach
I was supposed to stay six nights but left after two nights. First night, my room was overlooking the beach and it was extremely loud. I didnt sleep u til 3 am. Then thEy moved me to a room without air conditioning. Then they moved me to a room where the window didnt lock. I didnt feel safe- the staff told me that a nearby hotel had a break in, and without a lock on my window i felt unsafe. The only reason i even stayed two days is that it took two days for them to approve my cancellation. The staff were nice- only one person speaks english. The wifi barely worked in the lobby, and didnt work in my room. Honestly, after hit hotel i went to stay at hotel catharina praguacu in rio vermelho which was wonderful and cheaper. Hit hotel is a good place for frat boys who want to party and dont care if the room is dirty or comfortable

Modern and clean, near beach
Ask for a room on the sea front rather than facing the back. Our window was not sound proof, and trucks and people felt like they were in our room. No sleep before 2am and after 6am..

I was at this hotel for 2 night, the hotel is very basic there nothing special, the weakest point was the communication with the staff i had a lot of missunderstanding and they ask for a lot of ´´useless'´ thing for the reservation things that made me loose a lot of time for a short stay in salvador, hopefully there was 2 staff that talk fluent english the lady who carry the reservation and another young men but with the rest of the staff communication is simply impossible, the hotel was few steps to the beach of barra 'blue warm water'' and extremely safe with a high police enforcement you can swim at any time even at 3-4 pm, concerning the breakfast i was expecting much more from a hotel in salvador, it was only very standard food ""bred,scrambled eggs, some juices'' anything that make you discover the very exclusive taste of bahia, can doo much butter, in the room nothing special bed some pictures in the wall an empty mini bar and that it's, and the window make you feel like you sleep in the street, and this is very inconvenient, i think that this hotel need a refresh, the strongest point is the location but the rest make you feel that you stay in a very basic motel in U.S !!! I will stay there again only if i have no choice for better offer

Hit Hotel is quite basic. The neighborhood has its quaintness. Every prospective guest should be well aware that they are being housed in a very popular, even loud entertainment district. First assigned a rather dingy backroom which we rejected, we were then offered a front room on an upper level, but for an extra charge of 20 BRLs per day. We accepted. However with this front room came other issues – the promenade was extremely noisy at nights and on the weekends into the early hours. The beach was crowded at all hours. A lot of drunkenness and risky behaviour. We were repeated advised by friendly neighbors to be very mindful of our personal effects – cameras and handbags. So if one is looking for a quiet holiday in Salvador, I would advise one to avoid this location! But for Washington and another lady the front desk couldn't communicate in English. Unlike hotels in Rio, there were no tourist brochures to be had, neither at the Salvador airport tourist office nor at the hotel. This was a major handicap. All they offered were private city tours that charged exhorbitant amounts for what they offered. The rooms were clean. Breakfast compared to other hotels was poor, overcrowded and the tables not cleaned before the next party arrived. Actually, during our stay there was construction to expand the breakfast room space. A clean place to stay, but not relaxing. Although within easy reach, public transportation was not easy to understand – bus stops or directions.

A hotel you can't really go wrong with
Breakfast room is a little small for the amount of guests it can have at peak but other than that all good! Lift, great breakfast and if you manage To get a sea view your laughing!!! Plus won't break the bank. You will struggle to find a better location!!!

Such an amazing hotel to stay at - could not have a better location in relation to the beach! Far surpassed our expectations for the crazy good price of a 2 person room, everything was modern and clean and the hotel staff were really helpful if we asked them about anything. Shower in our first room didn't seem to be able to go hot, but as soon as we told staff we were moved to a new room (with a sea view!) Barra beach is a great location if you're more interested in the beach side of a holiday as opposed to the historical aspects (but you can easily bus to the Old Town for the day)

O hotel fica numa localização excelente, tudo fácil e perto, mercado, farmácia e depósito de bebida. Não tem estacionamento e não tem convênio com nenhum particular. O café é bom, não é super variado mas o que tem é sempre bom, principalmente os bolos. O hotel sofre com o tempo, necesita de uma reforma, os quartos não tem cheiro de mofo. As instalações são bem antigas e quem fica virado para os fundos ouve bastante barulho da rua. Passei 5 dias com a família e os funcionários todos muito educados e solícitos.

Um grande custo-benefício com qualidade
O hotel tem um excelente custo-benefício. Muito bem localizado, no meio de muitos bares e restaurantes, em frente a praia do Porto da Barra e muito próximo do Farol da Barra. Fácil acesso de transporte de aplicativo a todas as principais atrações turísticas de Salvador. Atendimento excelente. Café da manhã muito bom. A única questão é que o café da manhã se inicia apenas as 07h00 e como tinhamos um passeio nosso guia nos buscou as 06h45, não conseguimos tomar café um dos dias, se iniciasse mais cedo seria melhor.
