However, I specifically chose this hotel because it advertised an indoor pool for my kids after a long day in the car, and unfortunately it was closed and not functional. That was really disappointing, especially since it was the main reason I booked here. If the pool matters to you, I’d strongly recommend calling ahead to confirm it’s actually open before booking. Otherwise, it served its purpose for a place to rest for the night." There was also a noticeable odor throughout the facility that made the environment uncomfortable. I was assigned a room on the fifth floor directly above what appeared to be active work or maintenance on the fourth floor, resulting in ongoing noise throughout the day. This made it difficult to rest or relax. In addition, after social hours, there were large gatherings with loud cheering and noise that could be clearly heard from my room. This disrupted my ability to rest after a long day. It seemed that an event or convention may have been taking place, but this was not communicated beforehand. Given these issues and the lack of transparency, this stay did not meet the standard I expect. I would appreciate your review of this experience and consideration of appropriate compensation.
