"This was the most beautiful, peaceful place. Such a dream to stay here. The staff were all lovely and the breakfast was perfect. Lots of options from fresh fruit to yogurt to croissants to eggs and delicious cheese and meats. View was gorgeous. "If you need a rest between travelling through the big cities of Italy, Hotel Sovestro is the place you need to try. A quiet and well maintained hotel set among its own vineyards and olive orchards, Hotel Sovestro is a must visit. The hotel is nestled in the hills below San Gimmignano, a 30 minute walk to this medieval town with incredible views of the Tuscan country. The hotel also has a Michelin rated restaurant with incredible food. Ensure you try their own wine - its incredible."

"Great location close to San Gimignano for day trips Siena, volterra, etc. Beautiful views and very peaceful. Very clean and comfortable hotel, with gorgeous 360 views from rooms. Unfortunately it’s very expensive to use the amenities, so we didn’t use them. The staff are very nice and helpful. The restaurant was OK. The breakfast was good but not great (coffee was great though). We enjoyed their wine."

"We loved our stay! The winery is beautiful, and you can see the vineyards and cypress trees from your room. Beautiful views! The stay includes the best breakfast buffet in all of Italy with fresh food and coffee. The dinner restaurant is great for a cozy meal. The shuttle into town is very convenient if you don't want to walk uphill. The walk back to tenuto sovestro from town is gorgeous and enjoyable (all downhill.) We enjoyed the brief wine tasting and stories of what makes this winery special. Would definitely stay here again!"

"This hotel was right in the main square, which was nice, and it was the only one of 5 that we stayed in on this trip that included breakfast, which was very nice, but the room felt dated. I mean, the town IS from the 13th century, so gees, what can I expect, but I expected the room to be a little nicer. I have a feeling we got a lesser room because we booked through Expedia, because I saw a few other rooms in my brother's travel group who booked directly with the hotel and theirs were much nicer. Also, do know that the walk from the P2 recommended parking to the hotel is quite an uphill, so bring small luggage!"
