"I stayed at L’Escale Bigaroux which is a very beautiful place indeed with marvellous views across the lovely medieval town of St. Emilion. The 14th century building retains many original features and has some very tasteful and respectful installations including an excellent kitchen, fantastically luxurious king size bed and probably the best shower in the universe! Martine is very friendly and welcoming and she communicates very well. The check in and check out was very straightforward and I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. When I left, I wished I’d reserved a week instead of just one night!"

"I have stayed here a few times before and it’s a great budget hotel in a great walkable location. I have always had a good experience here. This time I had a car and (especially for non-European drivers) the parking garage is really tight but it’s clean and easy to navigate."

The garden area was lovely and a peaceful space to relax and have our meals. Very close walking to Saint-Emilion. Very well appointed. Comfortable beds. We would stay again if we return to the area. "Great position- 5 minute walk to main railway station. Very clean good sized room. Could do with a few more lights. Nice modern decor. Plenty of space for clothes. Nice walk in shower. Most of staff were lovely and very helpful. The young lady who checked me in was rather non welcoming"
