The arcade existed of one pac man game. The hot tub was not safe to be in- filter was not working. And there were minor things that needed repair. Overall it was a nice little cabin and had a lovely porch and outside areas. It was not supplied with the basic needs- lacking pillows, towels, and blankets. The kitchen was well equipped and I was able to feed a bunch of hungry teenage boys with a nice grill and plenty of utensils. :) The cabin is exactly what you want in a relaxing atmosphere, the only slight detractor is the proximity to 33\. The highway can be a bit noisy, but nothing too crazy. It was still a little early in the season to get the fish to bite, but I am confident they are in there. We saw several decent sized largemouth bass cruising around. The boys explored some of the woods, and though it was pretty muddy from all of the rain, we were able to have a campfire in the great fire pit. Apr 1, 2025 Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Stay away not a scenic or clean cabin When we arrived we were immediately overwhelmed by the dirt, dust and awful smell of this cabin. Game room is one old arcade machine. Kitchen is in one cabin and dining room table is in the other. The place was not cleaned, as there was still leftover McDonald’s in the fridge. The main cabin was SO cool with the reading nook doubling as a “DJ booth” for our kiddos performing a talent show. The kids loved their “bunk house”. Between rain showers kids had a blast fishing and having bon fires. We were a short drive to all of the caves and hikes in the park, which were incredible. The hot tub was great after long hikes. The only thing I’d say is check the location on a map to ensure it is where you expect in proximity to the highway. It’s close enough to hear it so if you want something fully secluded, this wouldn’t be the right place for you. We didn’t mind it at all, the host was EXTREMELY responsive to my many questions and was above average. ##### Kathleen T. Stayed 4 nights in Mar 2025 ### 8/10 Good #### Ronda I. Jun 16, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Over all was a great stay We were surprised to find that US 33 was close enough to hear constant traffic. The hot tub wasnt working but owner sent someone to fix it. It stopped working again but for us it wasnt such a disappointment that we felt unsatisfied. There was 12 of us and the property was nice and the cabins were clean and in good repair. We had a great stay. Would recommend for big groups who are looking for a resting place close to all the local attractions. Thumbs up from us!!! ##### Ronda I. This property was very nice, clean, and close to a lot of things. We had a great time fishing. There were some very big fish in the pond close to the house. Minnows worked great which you can buy at the bait shop near buy. If you are looking to catch catfish, chick liver did the trick. There are some rather large catfish in there. Overall we came for the fishing and the place did not disappoint. ##### Chris N. Great hiking nearby. The homes were nice and had all the amenities one would need. It is a fun place for kids as it has a lot of property to run around and a nice hot tub. The location is close to the highway which is great for access to the highway when you need to run to the store or go hiking but is a bit loud a night if you are a light sleeper. Check an aerial view. The ponds are really cool but if you are trying to teach kids to fish they can be a bit challenging. The host was great and answered all my questions before booking. He also checked in by email upon arrival and during our stay but we had no issues with the property. Overall it is great for families to relax and enjoy the nearby trails. ##### John M. It is very well maintained and you can tell the owner really cares about the property. It is just as charming as the photos represent. My husband and I stayed here with our three kids (13, 10 and 6). The second cabin was nice for the kids to escape to from time to time. We enjoyed the hot tub, walking around the ponds and the strong Wifi :) I did not take notice of the proximity to 33 when I booked our stay. Since it was cold at night when we returned back to The Lodge we did not spend a lot of time outside so it did not bother us but the sound of the road could be a negative for the "road noise sensitive". Don't advertise something that's not actually working . Mow the grass! Fix the sliding glass door lock , fooseball table, rocking chairs, inside furniture needs updated or deep cleaned .
