Elec went off, brown water via taps in room
The electricity cut out one morning while I was in the lobby. The lights went out and had to go back to room via staff in the service lift. Got back to room on 4th floor and water wasn't running to sink or bath. When the water did return 30 mins later the water was running through brown for 15 mins. In fairness they did offer room service complementary.

This hotel made me feel at home. It is super clean and service-oriented. Housekeeper kept my room clean, and he was always prompt to answer my questions if I needed anything in the room. Excellent service and extremely friendly helpful staff! They will go extra mile.however, I have the following concerns. The bath tub is extremely slippery and thus unsafe. Also, I booked this hotel only because it shows that it has swimming pool. To our surprise it is only for men. My wife was really upset. As a Muslim I am aware of country religious traditions, but Marriott seemingly doesn’t respect them! Why not have two separate swimming pools or allocate hours for women to use swimming pool. And, please, state that on your website.

Can't wait for the Business Lounge to open again!
My stay was very comfortable and helped by the efficient and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the Business Lounge was closed due to COVID, which was disappointing, but I was able to order snacks etc from room service.

I was a bit disappointed that there was no Foot massages available for the female guest. I understand and respect tbe culture, but this is a major hotel chain and yoy're going to have foreign guest who ate die heart Marriott stayer's. I was also disappointed with how long it took to get room service. Lastly I was disappointed there wasn't a couple shops or even a little sundry shop. Hotel decor waa absolutely beautiful! Check in was amazing, but because of the above reasons I will never stay there again

Confused staff poor service
Checked in late in the evening after long day of work. After a long check in process finally was given a key. Got to the room and it was dirty with someone’s stuff. Poor.

Disgusting Smell of Sewage + Horrible Check-in
I booked an Executive Room which is a higher class than standard delux room. Check in was a nightmare. I was told there was no room available for me and that I had to wait. I went and sat in the lobby with no refreshments offered. I didn't think too much of it sat on my laptop and started working on emails. After an hour, a waiter came by and asked if I wanted to order coffee. I realized that I hadn't been taken care of and so much time had passed and I really began to get angry. My room still wasnt available. I went to the "Elite Desk" and complained. They offered no solution so I had to remind them that I had access to the Club Lounge and that they should AT LEAST give me an access card so I could go sit there while a room becomes available. They gave me the access card and I moved there expecting check-in soon. Two hours later I wasn't called and I was tired and exhausted from travel. I was furious now. I went down and made a huge fuss and MAGICALLY a room became available. - DISGUSTING SEWAGE SMELL - The morning of the first day I was getting dressed to leave the room and a HORRIBLE smell of pure sewage came out of the AC vent. I finished getting ready quickly and ran out of the room and complained. They said they would send engineering and fix it. I came back to my room in the evening and there was no smell. The next morning, I was awoken to the same DISGUSTING SMELL. I actually threw up.

Not a perfect package but satisfaction was met
Not a complete package but customers service are very satisfactory! Needs to improve I believed is the cleanliness...bed linens (hair falls) and customer's approach in the dinning hall (they're not really courteous). Can I recommend this 5 star hotel in Riyadh? Yes. :)
