"The front desk staff was attentive and warm. The dining staff less attentive. It took a long time for their responses. Room was clean bathroom was modern and the shower was wonderful! Bedding could have been more comfortable. Location was great. It was a lovely space."

"Great value - lovely big room with comfy bed, tea, coffee, water & biscuits and breakfast all included. Spacious bathroom and comfortable sofa. Great views out the window of the York Minster. Shout out to the reception team who were very friendly and helpful. Car parking is £25 for your full 24 hour stay and the hotel is so well located! Right on the river and quick walk to the centre of town and shambles. Would definitely recommend. Also has a gym!"

"Found this to be a lovely big hotel about a 10 minute walk from the train station and the shops. The Stray was over the road which was handy for dog walks. Our room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable large bed and large TV and the water was nice and hot for showers or a bath.. The hospitality tray wasn’t well stocked but extra items could be obtained from reception. One of the reception staff was a bit grumpy but all the other staff we came across were very friendly and helpful especially the guys in the breakfast area. As we had a dog with us we couldn’t eat in the restaurant but that was no problem as we preferred it in the lounge area. The breakfast was amazing. Probably the best I had had in a hotel. The food was fresh and plentiful and I was pleased to see fresh fruit was included. The 4 of us had a wonderful stay celebrating my Sisters Birthday."

"Hotel easy to find, near all amenities and had a good car park. Hotel bedroom excellent, clean and well appointed. Did not have an evening meal, however breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options. Staff at all times were cheery and helpful, what more could I ask for."

"Was able to check in early which was a bonus. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Reception area spacious , clean and tidy. A lot of staff on hand to help. Location slightly abit too far from the centre if walking in and out frequently. 15 mins from Centre. 22 min from station ( however bus stop outside hotel which helps) We had a room on the 4th floor which was adequate in size, and noise from other rooms and corridor minimal. Drinks prices from hotel bar very reasonable."
