The street is actually a boardwalk mounted on a set of stakes that support the dwellings built on the water. Formerly it was the district of the red light of Ketchikan. I booked my room on the app while I was still on the plane. When I got across from the airport on the ferry there was a shuttle that picked me and a number of other passengers up. It was past the hour when the shuttle usually ran, but the driver was willing to stay late to take 3 groups of passengers to the hotel. I was thrilled that I got a wonderful king suit with a gas fireplace and comfortable bed. The bar had food and drinks and didn’t close until 11pm. I even received a discount on my breakfast the next morning. The only thing that I had to be disappointed in was that I asked for a wake up call that never came. I was glad that I had set my alarm."
