There was a misunderstanding regarding the parking arrangement, and when we tried to clarify and even compromise, the staff member at the reception (an older male) became very rude and aggressive. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he insulted us, mocked our English, and even threatened to remove us from the hotel. We found his behavior completely unacceptable and felt unsafe. « Nous avions réservé une chambre avec un balcon et une vue sur la montagne (3 nuits). Nous avons eu une chambre dans un demi sous-sol avec vue sur un mur. Ils ont refusé de nous changer de chambre en disant que l'hôtel était plein. Le matin de notre départ, la jeune fille a refusé de diminué le coût de notre facture. Très mauvais service à la clientèle. »

Avec l'aide de l'opératrice de chat hotel.com et de l’hôtesse de l’hôtel (qui parlait français) cela a pu être réglé avec efficacité mais nous avons perdu 1/2h. "Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. There was a misunderstanding regarding the parking arrangement, and when we tried to clarify and even compromise, the staff member at the reception (an older male) became very rude and aggressive. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he insulted us, mocked our English, and even threatened to remove us from the hotel. We found his behavior completely unacceptable and felt unsafe. Other reviews mention rudeness also. While Obertraun itself is wonderful, with many small B&Bs, we would not stay at this hotel again."
