Secrets Royal Beach was a lovely place to vacation. Unfortunately that was interrupted by constant attempts to upsell activities/goods/spa treatments by very aggressive salesmen. Overall loved our time and the property but the constant dodging of sales pitches was tiresome on a vacation that cost a pretty penny up front.

When we first arrived we waited 3 hours after check-in time to be brought to our room. Once we got to our room we noticed we were not on the preferred club side even though the butler told us that all swim up rooms are preferred club NOT TRUE.. we asked to be switched to the preferred side because the bar, beach, preferred pool was on the other side. We stayed one night on the non-preferred side and the AC was not working and you can smell the mold in the room. The next day we were switch to the preferred side. Please ensure to look for the signs that says preferred club. The duvet cover/inserts hadblood stains on it, the sheets had stains the rooms are old so not worth the almost $800 per night for 2 adults for DR. Entertainment was lacking, they had these young boys at the night club dancing like magic Mike with clothes on and they didn’t interact with the crowd. The difference I noticed in Jamaica they actually came out to the audience and interact with the crowd and get them going. They taught us their latest dance moves made jokes maybe is the language barrier but sometimes you can entertain without talking. Their night club entertainment was garbage, after the 3rd night I went to my bed at 9pm, I even went over to Dream side WACK! Rudy our bartender in the VIP Lounge was the best thing to us, we constantly had to leave where we were to go to him. Definitely does not have the luxury feel don’t waste your money go to Europe for the price they charging.

The area was kept clean throughout our stay and the staff were very friendly. I must add unfortunately the transportation (Taxlico) that was sent to take us to airport on the return trip was very poor. The driver did not speak english and air conditioning system was not cooling. It was a miserable ride to airport and put a damper on an otherwise wonderful trip.

Beautiful place with lots of amenities. I had to share my VIP pool with people I didn't know. So that was awkward. Alcohol are water down and had to always call (everyday) before they would restock the fridge. Most of the time, they didn't certain drinks. The steamer in my room didn't work it was clogged. I also had to show my key card many times as if I couldn't afford the VIP sections I was in. After a few times, it became irritating.

Markitho was so very attentive to all our needs. He not only made our stay more comfortable but also made sure we were in the good hands of so many other wonderful people at the resort, such as Felix and Deiley at the beach, Jorandy our waiter, hostess Jasmine also Juan and Alajandro in the Hibachi grill. The restaurants truly were exquisite but, do not miss breakfast and lunch at the buffet, it was wonderful with so many elegant options and caring wait staff. Our swim out pool room was clean and beautiful! Located a short walk to all amenities. The beach was clean and safe - I couldn’t ask for anything more but -more time off from work!! We will definitely share this experience with friends and come back!

Our recent stay at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana - All-Inclusive from March 29th to April 3rd was thoroughly enjoyable. The standout feature of our experience was undoubtedly the attentive and friendly treatment we received from the resort's staff. From check-in to check-out, their hospitality made us feel welcome and well-cared for. The resort's facilities and amenities also contributed to our positive experience. Whether we were relaxing by the pool, enjoying bachata lessons, or savoring the diverse dining options, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The quality of the food was consistently high, and we particularly appreciated the well-crafted cocktails served throughout our stay. Overall it was a great time. The drinks were wonderful, the room was clean and beautiful, however the “preferred club” upgrade to be able to go to certain pools and eat at certain restaurants is odd to me. It’s an all inclusive but then you gotta pay MORE to not eat at the buffet for lunch or breakfast. The other benefits that go along with it just don’t seem worth it. I’d rather take my extra money and book at a resort that is truly “all inclusive”. Also there is no reservations for this resort for the restaurants which is extremely frustrating, if you got ready and headed down to dinner at 6-7 you’re looking at an hour and a half wait. Would be so much better if you were able to make reservations upon arrival like most resorts. The food was okay. The preferred club chairs were not comfy. They need new cushions and don’t all match. The umbrellas were broken, and the beach grounds could have been more manicured. Also the chair saving game is crazy here which is a total disappointment. The service was wonderful, friendly, and quick! Rooms were clean and well stocked. Overall we enjoyed our stay but most likely would try another resort next time.

The staff was helpful, welcoming & seem genuinely happy to be of service. The food was amazing, especially the baked goods, they were unique, tasty, beautifully designed & not too much sugar or cream - just perfect. However, not enough toiletries was left in the room booked for 2 people. There was one each of toothbrush, bottled water, bath gel, lotion, shampoo etc., this was a hotel where only bottled water is recommended for brushing teeth or drinking. Housekeeping also failed to replenish the used items in the room on the days we allowed them to clean, we tried requesting the items from a housekeeper but they speak mostly Spanish & not English. Reception eventually provided the needed items on request. by the 3rd day, we stopped allowing housekeeping, as it didn't look as if the room was cleaned properly anyway, all garbages was also not changed on the days we allowed housekeeping. Maybe we should have requested for a room change because we enjoyed the outside facility but didn't rest well nor enjoy the room.

After staying at several other Secrets Resorts I was a little disappointed on how hard it was to find a beach chair. I paid to stay at Secrets because I prefer an adults only atmosphere, but I had to walk next door to Dreams to find a beach chair. In hind sight I might have researched another resort where the chair thing wasn’t such an issue. On a positive, staff was great, food was excellent, and view was nice (1246)

The location was great. The pool, beach and dining choices were great. The check in part is the one that wasnt great. 1st thing, they wont check in anyone literally till 3P! I went and tried checking in at 246P and the front desk said, check in at 3P! The bathroom flush wont work and there were cockroaches and bugs in the room. I just didnt expect those things in the room. Otherwise, the restaurants, pool, beach and location are great. The people that are working in the bars, restaurants and pool were nicer and friendly than the people in the front desk.

We chose the Preferred Club option and for me it’s worth every penny. You have upgraded amenities, access to Preferred Club pools, bars, and restaurants. Our Butler Marko was invaluable in ensuring we had access to the restaurants we wanted at the times that we preferred. All we had to do was ask and Marko made things happen. The staff went above and beyond during our stay. The beach was clean and the water was beautiful.
