The owner is very nice, willing to help, she was a teacher and has a lot of interesting knowledge to share, she knows a lot of places and events for tourists, I loved the place and hope to go back one day 😇🙏

Casa Azul is a convenient place to stay for a short visit to Puerto Plata. Very secure. Comfortable bed. Good size fridge in the room. Daniele communicates well, is very accommodating, shares local information, and provides paid taxi service if she is available.

The property is beautiful! Daniele (the owner and property manager) has done a wonderful job remodeling her home, it’s cozy, clean, and has the most wonderful rooftop and covered patios. The hammock in the shaded side balcony, with the breeze flowing through, is what actually started my vacation after the stress related to traveling. But the true Gem is Daniele herself! She offers her guests the ability to hire her services as a taxi driver to help get to from the airport, and made my welcome so easy and smooth. She is a wealth of information on the Puerto Plata area and for foreign travelers. She makes you feel like a personal guest from the moment you arrive. If you are looking for the resort hotel feel this is not that location. But if you are a traveler that likes to immerse yourself into the locals and really feel like you are a part of the local community of where you are traveling, this will be your home away from home!

The only thing I would complain about is that we were not given the Air Conditioner Remote. So the room was at a constant temperature. I wanted it to be cooler. Other than that pretty good for the price paid.

Short trip to Puerto Plata from SD. Easy check-in at 3. I hadn’t realized I rented a room without AC and thankfully one was open and was allowed to change room for additional AC fee. Quiet, safe house and the Swiss Lady is SO nice and fluent in almost every language. If you need a inexpensive yet safe place to stay while exploring area, look no further. There is a Kitchen for you to use, but I didn’t stay long enough to warrant grocery purchasing. There is hot water and also a wash machine if needed. Enjoy

Excellente!! Casa Azul Apartments are fantastic !! The suites and property are extremely clean, well equipped and in the best location! I had a wonderful stay there and will definitely be back. The owner/proprietor is amazing. She made sure I had everything I needed and was very welcoming & friendly. The apartment was a great size, extremely clean, had everything I needed and wanted. The linens were nice, the air conditioning was great, the water pressure was great, the kitchen was well equipped with anything you need for cooking/preparing meals. The common areas shared by all are wonderful. There is a beautiful mosaic tiled patio with very comfy patio furniture and even a dominos table. And the roof top terrace is amazing & huge with breathtaking 360 degree views of the ocean and mountains. The pictures on Expedia do not do justice to this wonderful piece of paradise. It is in a great location, very easy to get to from the airport and walking distance of anything you could want ...food, shopping, music....and very central for those that want to do any of the touristy things in the area. I felt very safe, secure and comfortable and oh so happy staying at Casa Azul. I can't wait to plan my next trip to Puerto Plata and will definitely be staying at Casa Azul. It will now be my home away from home.
