"I must preface this by saying I travel for work much and stay in alot of places. The room was decent and spacious but the thermostat will not allow room cooling past 68°. I am a person that runs very hot and i might need it cooler to fall asleep. Also it gets really hot in SC. The area is kind of ghetto which isnt the hotels fault but people should know what to expect nearby. When i showed up to check in there was nobody behind the counter to greet. I had to wait for one of the cleaning staff to go find the hostess. After being checked in i noticed there was stuff still left in the room refrigerator. Also my view from the window was a hornets nest and there was a small hole in the ceiling near the window leading me to believe its possible for bugs to get in. They did not luckily. There is no microwave in the room so if you have leftovers, you must go to the lobby to warm your food up. Also there are cups in the room for you that are wrapped in plastic to give the impression of clean fresh cups. There were paper cups with stains inside of them, wrapped in plastic. That was it for me."

"There were four parties waiting to check in and only one clerk at the desk, it seemed like he did not know how to proceed thru the process he was very slow. First we were told that the pool was closed no explanation was given. We checked in went into the rooms look .. Room #1 had black mold on the bathroom walls. The shower curtain had tears in it.The refrigerator was packed with dirty ice..looks like the has not been cleaned for many days Room #2 had towels with dark stains and they were smelly. Room 3 had dirt and stains on the floor We could not stay one more minute in that place. May I also point out that black mold is deadly . We went to the front desk and explained why we cannot stay in a place as unkept as this. The clerk apologized lightly and offered a refund. We we appalled at this experience it was a very busy week for the area most hotels were booked we found a hotel with price at 3 times of what we anticipated to pay. It was a horrible experience."

"My wife & I were looking for a place to relax & enjoy the lake. Patti & Stan were tremendous hosts! They far exceeded our expectations. They are a lovely couple that provided us with a sweet, very clean cottage that was so well stocked! They seemed to anticipate all of our needs and then some. The cottage has a spacious screened porch that allowed us to enjoy our morning coffee and lazy evenings while taking in the beautiful view of the lake. The dock was another of our favorite spots to soak in the views. We were definitely on “ lake time” while at the cottage. WE WILL BE BACK!!!"
