Perfect for two, Hoku Lani, is located close to the entrance of Princeville giving you easy access to Hanalei and the rest of the North Shore beaches. Hoku Lani, Heavenly Star in Hawaiian, is a second story private 1B/1BA with space with free parking. Located in the Princeville Resort zone which has a grocery store, wine and liquor store, shopping center, restaurants, tennis courts, golf courses, a playground, and wonderful walking trails. Princeville is on the North Shore and within 1/2 hour to so many beautiful beaches. It is less than 10 minutes to world renown Hanalei Bay and Anini Beach. Decorated in a cool blend of Polynesian, celestial, and retro, Hoku Lani is sparkling clean, has great attention to detail and many deluxe thoughtful amenities. The kitchen has everything you need to make fabulous food from our local fish, meat and farmer's market vegetables. A new queen bed waits to cradle you after a hard day at the beach. The home has been recently renovated with all new kitchen appliances including a dishwasher, icemaker, new bathroom fixtures and flooring. A sweet lanai enables you to enjoy the trade wind breezes and catch a peek of the blue ocean. \*Listed rate is for the standard occupancy of 2, but home can accommodate up to 4 if the 2 extra are children. The living room couch becomes a full size bed and there is also a folding floor mat (futon.) Extra guest fee beyond two is $30+tax / per night / per person. There is a limit of 2 extra guests and this fee is collected after booking. There is a washer and dryer with supplies off the downstairs foyer for your exclusive use. Hoku Lani is located in the Mauna Kai Condominiums which means you have beautiful tropical landscaping & one of the biggest pools on the North Shore for your use. There is a pavilion at the pool with a BBQ, dining and lounging area, ping pong table and bathrooms. The pool is solar heated. Hoku Lani is just a short walk to the pool. The owner, Tony, has provided boogie boards, water noodles and snorkeling gear. Stores, restaurants and spa are within walking distance. At the end of Wyllie Road is a trail down to Anini Beach to get to the beach on foot, and you are only 10 minutes away from Hanalei Bay. You are in the center of the North Shore's many beaches to the East and West of you. Princeville features many walking trails, great views, restaurants, shops, golf and tennis. Even if you don't golf, you can take a sunset view tour of the most gorgeous settings on golf carts complete with a bar and goodies. Hoku Lani is a great place to relax at night too. There is a 70 inch smart TV for your Netflix or others apps. Just cast them from your phone. There is one last amenity that no one else has. If you love to star gaze, you can make an appointment with Tony to see through his telescope which is taller than him, called a light bucket, out at the pool at night! Very cute condo, bonus points for the beautiful pool on the property. We only had a bit of trouble with parking on the first night but we got there late, so maybe plan to arrive before sunset if you want to have a spot. When renting, I prefer when the bed sheets and towels are white or a lighter color. Here they were all quite dark, but everything still looked super clean. The A/C at night was absolutely great. Being on the second floor gives you a nice little view on the ocean and makes it easier to avoid getting bugs or other little friends inside. Tony was also very helpful. Warm pool that was never crowded, spotless communal grill with a sink/clean up area, beautiful views from the lanai, washer and dryer with detergent and a ton of beach gear including a cooler that was better than anything we’ve rented, boogie boards, many chairs and an umbrella that held strong on windy days. Not to mention Tony and his wife are the sweetest most down to earth hosts we’ve met on our travels - they live in the unit below and are close by to assist with anything or suggest beaches that the best guidebooks ignore. The icing on the cake was stargazing with Tony multiple nights with his super fancy telescopes. He’s eager to share his knowledge and if you’re into space (or know very little like me) you’re in for a real treat. Location is amazing for the many secluded and harder to get to beaches up north as well as some good eating in Hanalei or Kilauea. If you’re in the right season, you may see albatrosses in a nearby neighborhood. We’ll definitely be back and will recommend to any family or friends heading to the amazing island of Kauai. The condo was spotless, bed was comfy and it stayed cool despite being warm outside. It's so serene and peaceful, plus having a kitchen at home was great to utilize for making meals when we didn't want to eat out. Tony was such a gracious host and made us feel right at home.
