![Belem Tower is located in the town of Bethlehem, county and district of Lisbon in Portugal. On the right bank of the Tagus river, where there was once the beach of Bethlehem, it was originally surrounded by water around its perimeter. Over the centuries it was surrounded by the beach, even today incorporate the land.

One of the "ex libris" of the city, the monument is an icon of architecture of the reign of Manuel I of Portugal, in a synthesis between the tradition menagemde medieval tower and baluartemoderno where it had artillery pieces.

Over time the tower lost its defense function of the Tagus bar and, from the Philippine occupation, old barns gave way to the dungeons. "The hotel was very clean, seems to be a new building, staff was very helpful, surrounding area was very safe and clean. it is a short uber drive into the city center. just a few notes to share. There seems to be a timer on the hot water for the shower because it gets cold after about 5-7 minutes. the next person will have to wait more than 30 min before water heats up again. yes, I did mention this to the front desk multiple times but the problem persists. secondly, there is no hair conditioner; not a big problem, but bring your own. lastly, there is no soap at the sink so bring your own or you have to get the shower gel. besides these minor hiccups, we enjoyed our stay there."
