"This turned out to be one my favourite vacation stays ever! The town of St Anthony is small and doesn’t have a lot of modern facilities but it has character. The Silver Horseshoe is a perfect example. The stone faced building beckons you in with the charm of an old friend. It’s history is fascinating and the two brothers who own the hotel provide an experience that is so unique. When I visited, they were busy updating the dining area, so I was given a room with everything I needed to prepare my own breakfast. A lovely clean bathroom with all the bits and bobs that you could ever need, and a super comfy bed. The guys are charming hosts and you can tell that they take pride in the quality of their service. Great value for money and a perfect way to start my roadtrip. Outstanding!!"

"We were not aware the property was under renovation when we booked our stay. While they apologized for the inconvenience, it was still not an ideal stay. Rooms around us were being redone and there was a lot of renovation 'stuff' in the hallways along with noise during the day. Luckily, it was quiet at night :) The carpet in our room had paint splatters but no other evidence of remodeling. I'm assuming it was slated for further work in the future. The vending machines were either out of order or empty. Overall, it wasn't a memorable stay. My hope is it will be better after the renovation IF we choose to stay there again."

"We enjoyed staying here. It was so nice being out of town. The place was well maintained and clean. Our girls loved playing with the toys upstairs. The beds were comfortable and communication was great. We highly recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again."
