The churro wagon is a mixed blessing because it has excellent churros and an enormous neon marquee that flashes when it’s open- and it’s open late- so on New Year’s Eve, between the happy noisy crowd that stayed up till dawn and the strobe lights from the churro wagon, a shirt over my face was a necessity. The hostal itself is lovely, with a good \[and busy\] restaurant on the ground floor, tiny elevator and hallways, all with pretty modern finishes, and while the room I was in was tiny, it was just right. The staff are friendly, polite, and helpful.
