"The hotel staff and the food were excellent but there was an issue with the room. We booked a club room with balcony as per Hotels. Com website. On arrival we’re told the club rooms did not have balconies so I asked for a room with a balcony. It was a pool view but it was also a huge building site view within 20 metres. A massive crane was within 10 meters of the balcony working from 8 to 5.30. Very noisy indeed. I had to pay extra for this room over the original. I am not sure the hotel...

"We had to pay 260 euro deposit to get key, had to make up own beds & strip afterwards, no towels provided, had to clean & wash floor and make all spotless & have it inspected. Carry used linen to reception before return of deposit, without having been told this when checking in. All this came as unwelcome surprise, anyone thinking of using this "hotel" should be warned. "This does appear to have once been a grand hotel, but it has since been neglected. While the entrance area and staircase still look impressive, the room was in poor repair, with a dated 1980s/90s feel. However, it was spacious, with a Nespresso coffee machine and two BBC English channels. The breakfast room was grim and the food average. Overall, too expensive for the poor quality. The hotel desperately needs money spending on it."

"The ocean view makes up for any shortcomings, however the shower hose is awkard and only gives a relatively low pressure. There's an accessible lift to avoid the steps if you have a pushchair, wheelchair or heavy luggage but noone expains that this in in the basement area so you end up lifting heavy luggage up steps and slopes. Lovely pots have no plants in, so creates a neglected first impression and there's no bedside tables. "

A 160 euros la nuit, c'est trés chiche.La surface d'habitation est trés petite même à 2.La chambre à l'étage par contre est trés grande. Mais comme nous devions rentrer nos vélos électriques chaque nuit trés difficile de faire les manœuvres dans 10 métres carrés...

"Easy walk from the train station. Great price. Our window was broken, which in France in the summer is not good, but since we weren't there long, I didn't ask to be moved. Close to the ocean, so dinner at the hotel, outside with the ocean breeze, was lovely. The staff was great, with one fluent English speaker, so a big plus if you don't speak French. Other than the window, the room was fine and all we needed. "

On arrival we’re told the club rooms did not have balconies so I asked for a room with a balcony. It was a pool view but it was also a huge building site view within 20 metres. A massive crane was within 10 meters of the balcony working from 8 to 5.30. Very noisy indeed. I had to pay extra for this room over the original. I am not sure the hotel should be selling these rooms currently. I could carry on a conversation with the builders without shouting. I did discuss the problem at reception but was told there was nothing to be done. "
