"We've been coming here for years. Quirky and unique place right across from the beach. A room with a balcony is worth it. Pretty expensive this time though and there were some drawbacks: parking was difficult so we didn't move our car; hot water was slow or nonexistent; no more gas grill on the roof; no popcorn or treats like usual. Pies used to be left out but not this time. Rooms are not cleaned during visit. The value of this place is its proximity to the beach. Our room was well furnished with a huge tv; there are also a microwave and a fridge."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very happy to rent this house. So close to the beach and town- it was a great location. But the house sorely needs an update throughout and the beds and pillows in particular and very uncomfortable. Also- this is not a great choice with a baby. Very little room for a pack n play and generally the house doesn’t feel like a home. The construction ongoing is distracting but not loud. It takes away the view and leaves dirty windows and certainly ruins the walk to the beach a bit but what can they do. Overall I would recommend it but likely wouldn’t return just because it is so uncomfortable for sleep."

"The property is beautiful with huge living rooms, dining rooms, kitchen and patio for large groups. The rooms were clean and very well decorated. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed our small vacation here. The host was also responsive to our inquiries. Would recommend it! :)"

"We had a great vacation! The house is located close to the beach, in fact we sat on the balcony deck and listened to the waves crash into the late hrs. We enjoyed our early cup of coffee sitting out in the 2 chairs as the early morning sun was breaking through, I will miss this very much. My wife and I also sat out there in the evenings, so peaceful. It It was very nice having a table to sit and eat dinner out on the balcony, as well as a beautiful dinning room table to gather around inside. The rooms were very nice, the kitchen and front dinning area was beautiful. We used the BBQ to cook 2 dinners. The beds were comfortable to sleep, and the bathrooms were very nice, especially the downstairs shower, it was huge and beautiful. Parking was fantastic, no matter what time we returned to the beach house, we had reserved on property parking places, did not have to fight for any street parking in front of the house. All in all, I would definitely recommend this house to someone coming to Avila to vacation and enjoy their time."
