There is wildlife and having to dispose of trash properly should not come as a surprise!) Anyway, the views were spectacular and the home very comforting and open. I look forward to coming back. "Loved our weekend getaway to PMC. The cabin was as described, beautiful interior and they allowed 2 dogs! Back patio opens up into wide open spaces with no neighbors. Communication with property owner was seamless and quick to return answers to my questions. Make sure you review the kitchen utensils. You may need to bring a few items along. Can't see the property from the blacktop. Look to the street numbers and take the dirt road down to the secluded property. Thanks Joe! Great experience and would book again!"

"The Old Bear exceeded my old expectations: the lovely location, the comfortable and homely room, the warm and hospitable hosts, the superb home-cooked breakfast and goodies, and the proximity to a great restaurant for cocktails and dinner. We would love to come back some day."

"There are many pros to this place. The space is gorgeous. There is a welcoming fireplace and very high ceiling in the living room. I had some questions and the owners texted me right away. They had excellent communication. It was nice to have three bedrooms. Be advised, one of the bedrooms is up in the loft. However, it has a bathroom and felt private. There is a big dining room table. Here are the cons and things to be advised about. The beds, unfortunately, were very firm. My 13-year-old like making a little fort out of the bunk beds. The bottom bunk is a full and the top bunk is a twin. She attempted to go to the top bunk and she said it was very unstable. But there is a pack-and-play, and a lot of items for younger children. I wish the cabin had more communication or notes on things. I needed to message the host a couple times to figure things out. It was very cold when we entered and we initially didn’t know how to increase the heat. After messaging the host, we were able to get the wall heaters working and we felt warm. I also wish there was more information before we reached the destination. Specifically, we needed to provide our own wood and lighter. I provided my own oil and spices for cooking. Our family had a wonderful time in the cabin."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Chris’s cabin! It was very large and perfectly located in this little end of a cul-de-sac. Even though there is a hill behind the cabin, I felt very safe having my kids play out front on their own. The view is spectacular, it’s very private and so comfortable. Chris was amazing at communicating all the details about our stay and I had a nice conversation with him before we left to make sure we were all set to go. There is even a little patch of snow out in front of the house that the kids played in for about three hours! We found some nice sledding spots and really enjoyed our time there. We will definitely rent from Chris again!"
