"This restored farmhouse is great. Fruit trees and garden paths and even goats to feed. The pool was a bonus. Off the beaten path but we’ll worth the effort. The manager was lovely and helpful and I would recommend this property to everyone. One note the thresholds are low but even our 6’4” guest adapted. Great for a family or large group. Lots to entertain the youngsters."

"We came back to Portugal after four years having spent many years on the Algarve and touring from the far North, through the centre and along the whole coast. We wanted to find a typical, unspoiled area this time and found this lovely villa near Penela. The location, surroundings and countryside are so beautiful and unspoiled. It is Portugal as we remembered it, near to so many lovely places, amazing beaches and fantastic restaurants. Prices are still very good and we had some lovely meals. A...

"My friend and I were staying here on a trip viewing property to buy in the area. The nicest house we saw on the trip was the one we were staying in! It is every bit as good as it seems in the photos - especially the garden area. A great place to soak up the Portuguese sunshine. Jose, the owner was there to greet us and was very helpful. Although one probably does need a car to stay here although we did walk to Penela one day - 3.2 miles. - perfectly do-able."
