In our room, the hand towel on the clean rack looked like someone had wiped Dorito's on it, it had obviously been used by a previous guest and not changed; the upholstered desk chair had a giant stain that looked like someone had lost control of their bowels, the perimeter of the floor needed a good cleaning, and the wallpaper was peeling at the seams. « This property worked well for a short stay in L'Anse. The overall feel is more "bachelor pad" than "Grandma's house." Furniture is comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe to us. The kitchen is generally well stocked, if a bit cramped for counter space. »

« These past 3 days were a trip back to my childhood! The coziness of the camper was very much like the one my parents had for our vacations. Most everything was typical of a maintained camper - gas stove with an electric option, windows, toilet, shower, refrigerator, with a modern plus of a microwave. « The house was very comfortable overall, and the main bed in particular was excellent. The kitchen was well stocked with enough essentials for us to prepare our meals without any issues.The only area that did not meet the same standard as the rest of the home was the bathroom. « We have stayed here twice during MTU move-in week, and the location is convenient to Houghton, without all the chaos of trying to stay and park downtown. The cabin has plenty of room and the amenities are fine. My only concern is there are some electrical issues in the bathroom causing the GFCI to trip frequently, and the smoke detectors were both dead. »
