Dear Edla, We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay in this charming and spacious 4 bedroom. You are correct- they are rare in Paris. As far as chairs for the courtyard, it is against the building association rules to sit outside in the courtyard. This is the simple reason that we do not supply them. But it islovely to have this beautiful and historic courtyard outside your windows and door.

Dear Bob, Thank you for writing. I am surprised about some of your comments; we pride ourselves on giving valuable information in our thorough digitel guest note which you can and should read, either on your phone, or to print, or consult the printed copy in the apartment. It describes in detail each and every kitchen appliance in the small but well stocked kitchen with everything you would need. The circular stairwell which is classic and described and pictured in our property page should not have come as a surprise and is certainly not difficult unless for someone who cannot handle steps. But we were most surprised by the comment about outside sitting areas. Why would you have expected them? The Courtyard was NOT meant to be used as your outdoor space and the fact that you used it and played loud music caused us to have complaints from neighbors. No, it is not available as space for guests in this Paris apartment. We have had many groups of friends who have loved the apartment and had a wonderful time together, and have been respectful of the neighbors. There is a wonderful garden available adjacent to the courtyard which does not impinge on neighbors. We will consider adding some folding chairs for guests to take across. Susan

We are so glad that you liked the apartment. I am sorry to hear that you found the circular staircase difficult with suitcases, as Arthur would have been happy to help you with them. Without luggage , though they are circular, they are a standard size, and unless you have difficulty with stairs in general, should not be present a problem. Though the are no ceiling fans in lower floors because of the vaulted ceilings which would make it impossible, there are movable fans in each lower room. Thank you for staying with us. Dear Joanne, We are glad that you appreciated so many wonderful things about the apartment. It is unfortunate that Paris was having one of its hottest weeks ever while you were there, and that days like that are rare even even in summer. We do find that if you keep the new , high powered ceiling fans going they create a refreshing air flow; we did rush out on your request to purchase additional, multiple fans for each rooms. Some of the things that the you said surprised me and I checked with your Greeter/ Inspector who responded. He said that all the soaps in each bathroom were new, s is required, and he had personally taken them out of their individual cartons. In fact we just started using a wonderful, all natural bathroom amenity, made in the south of France, by L'Abeille, and based on live oil and honey, so I feel pretty sure that you had new soap. It is absolutely standard and required in our rentals. From now on, he will leave them in the package. Arthur also told me there was at least one starter pack of 10 coffee pods left for you in the kitchen. From that you could see with what to restock. For the towels, there were two big and two small towels on each bed plus two additional towels in each bathrooms. With the addition ones that you found in the cupboard and used, you should have had plenty. On a 6 day stay , there in no mid-stay clean included,unless you request it. Without a mid-stay clean, we do not come by to refresh supplies, but we are happy for you to use extras when needed as you did. Finally, Arthur tells me that he explained how to use the washing machine and dishwasher in the kitchen as he is required to do with all the guests and that you all understood how to use them. In addition, the picture icon instructions on the machine are good visuals for any language. I am glad that you had good family time and enjoyed the apartments genrous space and style, and enjoyed your family time.

We are delighted that you found this a great place for your group, and that you would recommend it to others. There is a picture of the spiral staircase, and though it is rather narrow, it is very safe and banisters all around. I am certainly surprised to hear that you were disappointed in this much beloved apartment. I do believe that I was quite clear in describing the kitchen to you when we spoke, and of course there are several pictures of it on the site. The comi oven has cooked a Thanksgiving Turkey, and caterers have come in and cooked multi-course celebratory dinners for a crowd, so it is fully functional. Though , it is not the kind of kitchen for 7 people to stand around in and cook together. As far as the lower floor being difficult "to Climb down to", I have to object. There is a perfectly comfortable and secure, spiral staircase which is also visible in the pictures and not a surprise. It is certainly not illegal not to have egress from a basement, and is more common than not. There is no mould, it is always well cleaned, but we had had some humidity, which is why we bought the highest quality dehumidifier that there is, and it should have sorted the problem in less than 24 hours. We always try to be polite, and do not dismiss valid complaints. We are proud of this beautiful apartment and most guests agree. That is why we have so many 5 star reviews. This apartment so beloved by so many that stay there was clearly not for you. So much of what you say is distorted or not true. There are definitely two lovely bedrooms on the entry floor. They are well designed, so that when wanted , they can open open up into the living area. If you raise the lovely, and completely private-producing draperies, yes, there are glass doors, well-covered,that we find a charming feature, for opening up the space. However with curtains in place, it is totally private, and offers just as much privacy as a wall. Some people like baths, some prefer showers. Shower/tub combos are common in Europe, and when the shower curtain is pulled, the floor remains dry. The thick stone walls keep the apartment beautifully cool except in exceptional heatwaves. But I know that your real problem was that you had not experienced a European washer before, and because they run cycles much more slowly than American ones, you insisted it was broken, and when we did not send someone to see you on a holiday Sunday, you were not happy. In fact, you warned us that if someone did not get over there on that Sunday, you would write a bad review. Most people don’t come to Europe to run laundry as a prime objective, and this machine is standard and works to European standards. So be it. To suggest that this beautiful apartment is like a Hostel is absurd. The pictures tell the story. I know that the rest of your group enjoyed it because they told me. I am sorry that you could not, too.
