The staff is excellent! They couldn't be nicer or more helpful. We had a problem with our shower and they went above in beyond to helping resolve the issue. I would stay here again next time I come to Paris and highly recommend it to anyone. The metro line is literally across the street and it's so easy to use!

There was a little noise because of the construction going on outside, which is out of the hotels control. My overall stay at the hotel was great! The room was clean and I had a small patio area ( enough to stand and drink coffee and take in the view) which was nice. The staff were all friendly and very attentive! I would absolutely stay again! It’s very close to the metro and many other stores also, like a block away close.

Overall a really good stay. Staff at reception desk very friendly at all times. Room was really lovely overall and also the bathroom. Only issue was the bathtub as no shower option and no option to plug the drain to have a bath so it was a case of stopping by the tap to have a wash. The Main Street by the windows of the bedroom was very noisy some nights so be prepared for that, due to being in the red light district. Loads of local amenities, fast foods, restaurants etc so this was a bonus. Overall a very pleasant stay

Overrated and overpriced hotel
Had room changed because of non-functional air conditioner but in general rooms look very work with holes in curtains, walls, damaged furniture, torn carpet, etc. Everything looks old and not taken care of with quite a bad small inside. Both rooms had broken control of shower/tap (could not switch between tap and shower water). Breakfast is really poor and is being brought to the room because there is no place to come and have breakfast at. During the chek-in you can choose what will be brought but it is not much to choose from - boiled egg, croissant, few slices of ham and cheese. Hotel is rated at 4 stars but I it only costs as 4 stars. The real feel is more of a 2 stars hotel.

The Villa Royale may not be acceptable to everyone. Probably because of the proximity of the Moulin Rouge the decor has lots of maroon walls, tissue covered, and some gold, and green. But the furniture is dated, lots os scratches. The room has a good size, the same for the bathroom, but bathtub. You can improvise a shower head but lots of water will spill in the floor. Continental breakfast served in the room; very acceptable. AC incipient, if it works at all. The elevator wall is in glass, and as you go up, or down, you will watch the back wall painted in Toulose Lautrec style. I enjoyed it. But at the same time some noises may make people a little apprehensive. On each floor, maroon velvet banners display the names of the room. All famous artistic people: Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve.. Convenient location at less than five minutes to the subway station on Place Pigalle. Lots of restaurants, particularly the Bouillon of Pigalle, one of the best deals in that expensive city. Again, I believe because the proximity to the Moulin Rouge, many sex shops along the beautiful Boulevard Clichy. Read, reflect, and decide..

If the air conditioner worked, then our stay would be great. Opening the windows to cool off the room is OK as long as the people around are quite. Anyway, good stay for us since we picked the place near Moulin Rouge with nearby metro and bus stations.

Stayed at the Villa Royale, Pigalle, Paris for 5 nights Pro’s Transport very near, Metro and bus stop just a minute walk. Bus No 30, takes you to Eiffel Tower. Rooms have names with individual decor. Heard that the interior is made by the same person who done Moulin Rouge which is just metres away. Loved the key and key chain it’s charming. Bathroom and toilet big and modern. Be careful hot water is really hot and the pressure is awesome. Breakfast is served in the room, it’s basic but includes bit of everything. Enjoyed it. Weekends are bit noisy but if you keep the windows or balcony doors (yes most rooms have balcony)shut, its peace. Always helpful and smiling reception staff, it was supposed to rain one day and they offered an umbrella which I refused and regretted later… Rooms cleaned everyday, fresh towels replaced. Many more things…pubs are plentiful, mini markets nearby open 24hrs. Many Restaurants nearby, but I just used Uber eats for the nights. Cons. No aircon and coffee kettle. ********** Not a modern building but Overall a lovely completely different experience really.

Excellent location, very special hotel, very old design looks like Moulin Rouge. BTW Moulin Rouge 200 metres from hotel. Cross of the street French country Restaurant stile Bouillon Pigalle. Very cheap but very delicious. We think to return back take more days. All Excellent !

The location is awesome. The staff is great. You have to wait for someone to open the front door. The hotel room has an actual key which you have to leave with the front desk whenever you go out. The room was so small I had to put my luggage on the bed. There's no coffee or cups in the room. The bathtub plug did not hold the water. There was not a do not disturb sign on the door. Too much lacking for the price.

Couple stay
Excellent value hotel with a great theme and decor. The hotel is short distance away from Moulin Rouge in Pigalle which is OK but not great at night. Be prepared for the sound of car horns all night. Other than that the rooms are comfortable and the beds are good.

The staff was nice especially Raphael - very warm and informative - the room was cosy loved the theme and decor. The heating and shower was perfect - just would say they still have plastic cups which doesn't go with their theme and would recommend slippers for the bathroom. Apart from that the room was cleaned everyday and location was good to use transport - no 30 took us to eiffel tower which saved on taxi fare - to be near moulin rouge area which is good for people who love shows - but at times the area got a bit noisy but wasn't a biggy overall a lovely stay would recommend and brought us alot of romantic moments. Thanks

Villa Royale was one of the more unique hotels I have been to. Everything in the hotel--from the elevator with paintings along the wall to the rooms to the fixtures--looked like something from a royal palace. The hotel is in a very convenient location, just steps away from the Pigalle metro station. Certain of the hotel surroundings can be a bit seedy at night (it's right next to the red light district), but overall, the area was convenient (next to many grocery stores and restaurants) and safe. The staff was quite accommodating and even went so far as to help me get in touch with the Metro station where I was pickpocketed to help me recover my wallet. Although there were a few blips during my stay (for example, the WiFi didn't work in my room for a few days), the staff made every effort to fix issues as they came up.

Paris with a difference in richness colourful room
Fun different Different room with theme. This hotel we book a red room Wich is the Picasso deluxe jacuzzi room # 105 corner. In the hearth of Montmartre with very easy access to Pigalle metro station u must know it is a vibrant an lively full of energy area. Saying this surprised by the cleanliness and quietness often room. The windows block more then expected noise of the city. Heatwave in Paris we were able to enjoy a cool air conditioned room our room was Rich In red Colors and velvet the bed was to our standard and the cleanliness was surprisingly for an older hotel lie this one. Even the jacuzzi and the air vent were clean. Our only thing was the unreliable slow Internet. Saying this the staff were understanding and tried to help us without succes they did offer to change room Wich we declined as comfort was our priority. If u feel like an usual hotel with a touch of richness and make a stay in Paris different I recommend this place Denis

It was a nice place to stay, and the staff was very attentive. The only negative I have is there was numerous nights we felt uneasy because it sounded like someone was trying to get into our room. There was breakfast for 15€ a person per day with your standard meal... eggs, bacon, potatoes. The best part of the breakfast was the espresso machine where you can have unlimited beverages. All and all I’d rate this location a 3

The rooms were roomy and very nice. The surrounding area may not be suitable for family, and it is on a side street that was a little difficult to find. Very close to Moulin Rouge.

This is an extremely romantic and sexy hotel, in the center of the best night life in Paris. Moulin Rouge is only 3 or 4 city blocks away - a place that you must visit, with the best show on earth!!!

Dozens of restaurants nearby and opposite Moulin R
literally 1 minute walk from the entrance of the metro and moulin rouge. The staff is extremely friendly. Perhaps can use cooler lamps? Some of the lights that was on in the room emit so much heat that I actually feel warm...

We had not a good experience with this hotel. Everyone who works there trying to be nice but actually do nothing about what you ask. So i picked the most expensive room for my stay by looking on the pictures. My bed looked nothing like on the pictures on a website. My picture is attached so you can judge yourself. When i said this to the hotel they said we are sorry we will fix it . Apparently they had a party and people damaged it. So they told me this for 4 days! 4!!!! And they did nothing. Also we asked for 4 days for the TV remote and only on a 4th day i really was able to get it from them! I submitted my review to the manager of a hotel and he said “ we are sorry we hope you gonna like your stay next time!? “ are you serious!??? You gave me bad room and charged me for it! No one wanted to give any money back. So i do NOT recommend to stay at this hotel! Manager are horrible! In America nothing like this would happened!!!

the decoration in rooms were lovely rooms quite small but functional very very hot A/c not worked could not open the window as too noisy , location handy but next to a night club ,sex shops, (certainly not suitable for children in my view) but convenient for bars and pubs and moulin rouge... location very noisy apart from Sunday night. No communal restaurant or bar to relax in though staff were lovely and helpful
