Ideal location
The hotel is ideally located. Buses and metro very close. Bus directly to Gare du Nord or Roissybus. Opposite Opera Bastille. Bars, cafes, restaurants nearby. Staff professional and friendly. Breakfast fine.

The location was excellent - only a block away from the metro stop Bastille and 2 blocks from the monument and plaza of the same name. The front desk was very helpful in finding a local laundry service that could turnaround our clothes within 48 hours - something not that common we learned.

They should improved the quality and variety of breakfast options and they need to keep attention about the items that is finishing to replenish. The reception or front desk personnel are amazing and wants to help the guests all the time.

Property is in a great location just a couple minutes walk to the station and there’s lots on your doorstep to explore. However, the room door did not lock! We realised on our last night that when we would leave our room, we would slam and pull the door but if you look properly it wasn’t fully closed and if you pushed with slight force it would open. Add to that, there were notices about thefts in the area and in hotels so we felt nervous and unsafe on our last night. We were told nothing about this at any point but when we alerted staff at check out they did not seem surprised and advised that sometimes the doors need a strong pull/jiggle (but this does not resolve it as the door and lock mechanism is fundamentally broken) which is below minimum expectation of what a hotel should provide. It’s a shame because the location really is very convenient and the room was clean so it would have been a good choice for a quick trip but the lack of safety is a key issue and troubling. I hope they fix it soon.

The hotel is ideally located. Across from Opera Bastille, there are excellent bus and metro services nearby. Bus 91 goes to Gare du Nord for RER B connection to CDG Airport. Bus 29 takes you to Auber for Roissybus connection (except Sun). Hotel is small, clean and comfortable and staff excellent. I have stayed twice and have 2 more stays booked

Good position, ultralight poor breakfast, poor bathrooms, smelly towels, but for visiting Paris it's enough. Doesn't matter where you stay in Paris, the transportation it's ok.

Bad odor
Good staff and nice looking room. However, when we returned to the room at night on the day of check-in, there was a bad body odor in our room, as if one of the staff members had entered our room and left a body odor (or it came from the heating/AC system that was pumping air). We informed the staff on our 2nd day, she apologized and said she'll take care of that, but that odor did not leave our room for the entirety of our stay (3 days).

The room was nice enough. The bed was comfy. But thin walls! I heard everything, the outdoor sounds, my next door neighbors' detailed honeymoon, and water rushing through everyone's pipes. Also I partially booked this place because it offered a shuttle to the airport on the website. This is not true. I was told they don't work with them anymore so I had to pay twice as much to call a taxi. It was nice, but not nice enough to recommend to others.

Very nice hotel, close to Bastille metro stop. It was quiet at night also. The reception people were very good. Especially the girl Mathilda who helped us when my husband got an eye infection and needed to see a doctor. She directed us to a Paris eye hospital close to where the hotel was. I recommend this hotel!

We stayed at Hotel Pavillon Bastille on two separate occasions during our week-long visit to France - three nights at the beginning and two nights at the end. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful and spoke English (good for my husband who does not speak French). The room was tiny, but comfortable, and the air conditioning was a huge plus since we were there during the heat wave. The only thing we didn’t like was the sliding door to the bathroom and the tub/shower that needed a high step to get into. Breakfast was a full continental that included yogurt, cheeses and meats, along with pastries, juices, teas and coffees. Free WiFi was available although sometimes the connection would cut out, but this wasn’t a huge problem.

They cancelled my reservation with an e mail at 6pm which was buried in 100 e mails of the day while I went from a meeting that finished at 8 that went straight to dinner. So got to the hotel at 11.30 to be told - sleep in the street, not my problem. No call, nothing. A manager playing with peoples lives. I’m in an Uber for the next 25 mins to get to the only hotel available.

Great location, Very secure. Good value for money. Reception staff were excellent and couldn't be faulted. The Cleaner could do with a week at finishing school as she was quite rude when asked for some milk for the tea and coffee. We didn't have breakfast as there was a lovely Bakery (Boulangerie) down the road, which was cheap and amazing. Rooms were a bit small and the shower was not the best, but it was adequate.

Good location for the Opera Bastille and for the metro and buses. Reasonable wifi and a good continental breakfast. The shower (average) was over the bath. There were no drawers in the room and a general lack of storage space - especially if there are 2 of you in the same room.

Great hotel, good room size and a great location. Breakfast was just what you need and the staff really helpful and friendly. The hotel has a safety gate that is manned 24hours. You can control the temperature in your room so after long snow days in January you can turn the heating right up, also offers air con for summer. The metro stop is not even a 2 minute walk and there are plenty bars and restaurants within 5 minutes. I would recommend this place and would stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay :)

Good hotel, great location, great staff.
The staff were excellent and very helpful. I arrived ridiculously early for check in after a couple of long flights, and they were able to organise for me to be in my room by 10:30 am. The room was not huge, but seemed larger than other rooms I have stayed in when in Paris, and was good for the price. The location, near Bastille, was excellent with a metro station and many cafes within easy walking distance. It was a bit annoying having to hand your key in every time you left the hotel, and then collect it again on your return. The staff all spoke excellent English, which was very helpful. I plan to stay here next time I’m in Paris.

The hotel is well located, very close to the metro station Bastille, and is close within walking distance to Gare de Lyon. We are happy with our stay. The only minor issue is with the bathroom sink. It takes too long for the water to be drained.

We stayed at Hotel Pavillon Bastille for 3 nights. The location is close to the train station and about a 15-20 minute walk to the 3rd/4th arrondissements. The facility is secure with a gate to enter. The staff was very helpful during our stay, however some spoke limited English. The bed was by far the most comfortable bed we had during our stay in France which made for a few well rested nights. They did require that we leave our key at the front desk when we left - they said to make sure it wasn't lost and also so they could track who all was/was not in the building in case of an emergency. The street outside is noisy however the windows are sound proof. Only complaint- the Wifi is not secure. Overall we were very pleased with are stay!
