Great hotel in the heart of Paris.
We celebrated our 25th anniversary in Paris and looked for a boutique hotel in the Latin Quarter for our stay. This hotel was a home run. It is small. It has less than 30 rooms. It is in a 400 year old building that has a small second floor lobby with a small breakfast/cocktail area. It has tiny hallways and an even smaller elevator, all of which added to the charm and beauty of the place. Despite the small common areas, our room was quite large compared to two other hotels in which we stayed in the past. The bathroom was also very large, with a full tub and nicely tiled floor. The decor is as pretty as the photos, and our room had three sets of large windows that opened out, overlooking the Seine. It was beautiful. Our room faced the river, but we could look out at an angle and see Notre Dame. It was spectacular.
This hotel is in the heart of Paris. It is a very busy, vibrant tourist area. Despite this, the windows block most of the sound from the street. We slept comfortably in a great bed, with much less than expected street noise. I've slept in the French Quarter in New Orleans many times, and this place, with more people, busier streets, etc, was ten times quieter! And I did I mention, it's in the heart of Paris?! The location could not be beat!
The staff is friendly, accommodating and speak good English. With the hotel being so small, we received personal attention when we needed something. We rarely shared the front desk with any other guest!
