Cheap and clean
Room was comfortable, but the twin beds are very small. Bathroom could do with a shower door rather than a plastic curtain. Also very small, you have to be careful not to burn yourself on the radiator whilst using the sink. We had no hot water on the first day. Room information states mini bar - it was an empty fridge, not even a bottle of water was supplied. In room tea and coffee facilities are also very poor. Location is good but overpriced for what it is. Needs to be upgraded or lower the price.

My mom stayed at this hotel on a separate trip and when I found myself with a few extra days in Paris, she highly recommended this one. Great restaurants all around and prime location near the metro. Very safe and quiet and the rooms are exactly as offered. Definitely French sizing, but when in Paris, you only need a hotel room to sleep otherwise you're out exploring and having fun. Perfect spot to come back to!

Good value stay
Brief stay at the Istria. Great location - one block from Blvd. Montparnasse, twenty yards from the Raspail Métro stop. Hôtel is clean, with small rooms typical of older Paris hotels. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially when dealing with jet-lagged Americans.

Great hotel in fabulous Paris
The hotel was lovely. Great location, just a few minutes' walk from the Raspail metro station. Inside was very comfortable, sleek and streamlined, and nicely decorated.

Enjoyable stay
Adorable hotel with kind and attentive staff. The room was very small but clean, tidy and had everything necessary for a trip to Paris. Walking distance from metro and RER for getting in and out of the city, including to airports.

The location is great but the rooms are small (and not soundproof like the description says) and the bathrooms are a bit dingy with very small showers. Cleaning of rooms only if requested, but happy to give more towels as needed at the desk. Coffee costs £2 in the lobby, which seems like a bit of a rip off.

The hotel is being remodelled and the floors are dusty because of the works. In the room we stayed the whole carpet was covered in white stains.

All of the receptionists were nice. One of them went out of her way to help with a taxi reservation and for getting me booked for one night I missed. I'm not a big fan of the area as there's not a ton going on, but I'd stay there again. Their rates were excellent.

+ Good standard for a descent price. I appreciated a spacey luggage storage place. - Little amount of tea and coffee in the room - could be more. Replace the plastic cups with glass ones, please save the planet.

Paris Hotel
Not bad, had a very large inconvenience at checkout as they charged me twice and I am awaiting a return on the 2nd charge. Other the that nice price. Close to the Catacombs but not much else. About an hours walk to the tower, although with a lime scooter only takes about 15 to 20 min.

Grotty and totally over priced
Looks ok from photos, but this is really a poor hotel. It’s cramped and the decor is old and shabby. Double bed was two singles pushed together so you wake up in the night falling between them. Shower was very small and not really useable. To be charged over €220 a night is an absolute disgrace! I’ve stayed in much better for €50 a night!

Very convenient for metro. In an atmospheric and attractive area of Paris. Breakfast room was temporarily closed so a basic breakfast served in the room.

We arrived, the room was extremely small, the lights did not work, the bathroom sink was plugged. When we asked the manager to fix it he said he could not fix it until the next day, he was not friendly at all. After we got upset he said he would try to fix it. He fixed the light, but not the sink. The location was good, but we paid a significant amount for poor service.

The room was the size of a cracker box, the shower miserable, the carpet stained, etc. Think of anything that would make a room comfortable and it was lacking. I chose the hotel because of its history to Montparnasse, but never again. Stay away, spend a little more, and you’ll leave Paris with a much more pleasant memory.

Friendly hotel near to the metro
The room is exceptionally small for two people. The tea and coffee stocks in the room are mean, the shower was not adjustable, just hanging off the wall, alltogether there is a general feeling of cheapness. I never seen so tiny towels for adults in a hotel.

The hotel is situated close to the Metro stop Raspail which has an Art Nouveau sign at Street Level It is within walking distance of the Orly airport bus and the hop on bus top is also close by.The catacombs were fully booked so we didn't look for their location.There are plenty of restuarants in the area and a shuttle bus is available to the airport.English is spoken by some of the staff.We had a very pleasant stay here

My stay at this hotel was okay. This hotel is okay if you are looking for a cheap one-night stay like I had, but not for any longer. The hotel room is lacking in cleanliness, comfort, and the bathroom was dirty and neglected. Definitely not for a comfortable stay - more of a transition night on your holiday. You have to pay for the coffee/tea by the kettle in your own room - and it is expensive for a cheap instant coffee brand. Service is not great.
