The house was beautiful, but we had a few issues during our stay. The fridge temperature hadn’t been lowered before our arrival so we had no ice and a lukewarm fridge for about 12hrs during 110 degree temperatures.
The small kids in our group were excited to stay in the bunk beds, but upon arrival we discovered the bunk beds can only be accessed by going outside of the main house. Since the kids in our group were 7, 6, 4 and 3 year olds, it wasn’t feasible for them to stay in an area that wasn’t easily accessible to parents without potentially falling in the pool, etc. This ended up with us being short a bed for a child, so we ended up having to sleep with an extra child in our bed.
Lastly, we found dead mice floating in our pool on almost every morning we were there. We then had to wait for someone to come over and fish it out and then wait for the chemical shock of the pool to wear off before we could use the pools again.
The people that managed the property were mostly responsive, which was nice. We were charged just under $400 in damages for a spot on an interior rug that we very well may have stained by mistake and an exterior rug that we were perplexed about what we could have done to damage it.
Overall it was a nice home, but there are a few kinks that need to be worked out.
