When is the best time to go to Pakenham Upper?

The best time to go to Pakenham Upper is during the autumn months of March to May, or in spring, from September to November. These periods offer the most pleasant weather for exploring the Dandenong Ranges and surrounding areas. Autumn brings cooler temperatures and often clear skies, superb for outdoor activities like hiking or visiting local wineries without the intense summer heat. Spring sees the region come alive with blooming flora, and the weather is generally mild and comfortable. For couples looking for a relaxing escape, visiting in autumn allows for comfortable drives through scenic routes, enjoying farm-gate produce, and perhaps a cosy evening by a fire. The milder weather is ideal for exploring the natural beauty at a leisurely pace. Families planning a trip might find spring particularly appealing. The pleasant temperatures are great for children to enjoy outdoor spaces, and the blooming gardens and wildlife are often a highlight.

10/10 Excellent

"The reception staff especially Philipi was excellent 😊"

Wild Cattle Creek Estate

8/10 Good

"Pros: Big cottage. Scenic location. Bacon, eggs, milk, juice, butter, tomatoes and bread provided for breakfast. Nice toiletries. Frogs in the pond sounded cool. Rabbits everywhere. Cons: Emailed property to say we'll arrive around 4pm. No reply. We arrive at 4:15pm to find reception closed and a mobile number. Called and about 5 mins later are sent a road map (?) and where to find the key. Wi-fi had full bars, but was "connected without internet". No reply when I reached out. Road is quite noisy."
