« It was a very cozy and comfortable cabin. »

« It was a nice, cozy cottage / cabin in the woods. It had everything you need and it was clean. Quiet and peaceful. We seen deer, a jack rabbit and chipmunks running around in the back chasing each other and collecting acorns. Made some s'mores at the fire at night. Plenty of wood. South Higgins Lake State Park is 5 minutes away and so is Marl Lake State hiking trail. The owner / host was very nice. My wife and kids enjoyed this place. We will be back next year. »

« We absolutely enjoyed the river setting and cabin ambiance. It’s private, quiet, and surrounded with bird song. The owner helps to flip your thinking from a hotel setting to your own home by having the guest responsible for light cleaning for the next guest. He’s able to reduce the fees and increase the value to the consumer by this method. Doing so is well worth it for the opportunity to stay here. We are grateful the owners are willing to share this cabin with us. We certainly plan to return...

« The host was very kind and responded promptly to an issue with the hot tub discovered at check-in, taking care of it personally. She also offered some bundles of wood for the inconvenience. Very hospitable! The housekeeping could be better but nothing terrible. The bed was super comfy and warm! Would definitely recommend bringing at least 3 medium-sized tarps and several bungee cords to cover the gaps in privacy at the hot tub. « Very nice lodging. At the echo, the other reviewers that this is a great place. I do have a couple complaints though. First there is a pumphouse from the golf course that is very close by and very very loud. All hours of the day and night it seems. Second step at the front porch is extremely high. They should redo their front steps to make them to code. The place was very well stocked, except for two items that I wish they would add Kleenex and napkins. We had to buy our own. Back to...
