Cabin # 4 at Northern Comfort HANDICAP FRIENDLY UNIT

Our 4 new cabins at Northern Comfort reflect the same level of comfort and care as the main lodge but in a cozier package!

This unit is equipped with a wheelchair access ramp, all 3 foot doors, full shower with transfer chair, bigger bedrooms

Each of our brand new efficiently cabins offer 680 square feet of living space including 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath and a kitchenette. For your creature comforts, there is fantastic wifi, smart TV with roku subscription, and a mini split heating/cooling unit in each cabin, With temperature controls in each room.

All of our cabins are located right on the preferred ORV/SNOWMOBILE route, ride right from your door and there is plenty of room for trailer parking up front.

Many lakes near by, fishing pier right down the street, atv trails everywhere, 1000's of acres of state land

This was our second 2-week stay in cabin 4. Traveling with my adult daughter, this 2 queen bedroom cabin was perfect. Rob, the host was wonderful, very accommodating and responsive. Appreciated all the special homey touches that made us so comfortable. Highly recommend Northern Comfort Cabins if you’re traveling to Atlanta.

Rob was an excellent and responsive host. Cabin was extremely comfortable, roomy, kitchen well appointed. Loved the peace and quiet and fire pit at night. Staying for another 2 weeks in October. Highly recommend Northern Comfort Cabins.

Was a great place to stay!!

I have one recommendation, my husband is in a wheelchair and the loose gravel made it difficult. I would pour concrete and remove the gravel also pour a sidewalk to the fire pit. Also, bees are under the rafters on the porch.

Very nice cabin

Great stay . Just a couple of suggestions. Use power blower to remove sand and leaves from front porches . 2 minutes max each cabin . And remove center shelf in closet and install , clothes hanger pole . Plenty of room on 2 shelves to lay folded clothes , don’t need that 3rd shelve. Much prefer to hang few items on hangers . Golf weekend

July 2024 - Cute little cabin just outside of town and easy to get to. Cabin was spotless and it had everything we needed, even coffee as I had forgotten to pack that and thought we would have to run to the store and get some. Robert was very quick in responding to my questions and details about check in and check out were very clear. Great little cabin at a great price. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved all 4 of the cabins and the main lodge on our family vacation. The cabin was perfect for my mother in law since it was handicap accessible. The inside of the cabin was decorated just perfectly for an up north getaway! Would definitely stay again!

ORV Trip

Our group had all 4 cabins & it was great! Cabins were super clean & have everything you need. Air conditioning in each room was wonderful after being on trails all day. Fire pits, gas & Charcoal grills, garden hose and sprinkler were on hand at the property. We will definitely be back!

Great Cabin.

This was my second time staying at Northern Comfort and it will continue to be my go to spot when visiting the area. The cabins are clean and comfortable and are in a good location when visiting north eastern Michigan. Looking forward to my next visit.

Cozy wheelchair accessible cabin

This ADA cabin looks exactly as pictured. It had everything we needed for our extended weekend cabin getaway. For those looking for mobility access, it is spacious for wheelchair users and one of the beds is low enough to transfer. The shower does have a lip to get in. It would be ideal for it to be a roll-in shower. The shower chair was necessary and did the job, but could be sturdier. A folding shower bench mounted on the wall would increase accessibility. There’s a lot of small rocks and gravel outside of the cabin which needs to be taken into account for those who use mobility aids. It can be tough to get through that to get to the ramp without any assistance. All in all, we were very happy with this cabin. It was clean, beds were comfortable, nice aesthetic. There are lots of small lakes to visit in the area and only an hour away from either of the Great Lakes.

Amazing Place

We absolutely loved the cabin. The location was perfect and the set up was exactly what we were looking for. The cabins were beautiful and clean. The only complaint we have is that the Wi-Fi was really iffy. Sometimes it would work but it would shut off every few hours. Otherwise it was beautiful!

Short getaway

This is the area we deer hunt in the fall. I wanted to check on my stands and ride our side by side on the trails around Atlanta. I accomplished all of that and had another couple do the same as they rented there own cabin on site. It fit every need we wanted and then some. I’ll definitely rent again. Thank you.

Labor Day getaway

Had a great experience at Northern Comfort Cabins. Cabins are new, very clean and well run by the owner. Rented a side by side and had a blast exploring the orv trails in the area. Communication from the time of booking and during the stay made everything easy. I Would definitely recommend.
