From the moment you arrive, entering through the private wrought iron gate, you can immediately feel how special and peaceful this place is. One of the first things that captures your attention is the stunning, giant live oak tree that gracefully spreads over the cottage. Its presence adds incredible character and a sense of timeless beauty, providing shade, tranquility, and a truly magical atmosphere.The cottage itself is charming, cozy, and beautifully updated. The hardwood floors, comfortable furnishings, electric fireplace, and cedar sunroom make it feel like a true “home away from home.” The kitchen is well-equipped with stainless steel appliances and a granite bar, making it easy to cook and relax. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged.The views of Lake Adelaide are simply breathtaking. Sitting in the sunroom or on one of the decks overlooking the water is incredibly calming, watching the sunrise, the moon rise, and the abundant wildlife felt like a daily meditation. The bird sanctuary directly across the lake makes this a dream location for bird watchers and nature lovers. My boyfriend and I stayed a few days when we drove down to go to Warped Tour. We had an amazing stay! The cottage was absolutely gorgeous. It was perfect for just the two of us. Having the iron gate out front gave us a great sense of safety and privacy. The view was absolutely stunning and we had everything we needed! We’ve even talked about staying again in the future as just as small get away from home!

#### Cute cabin on the lake - perfect for 2/3 people.
Cute little cabin on a lake, ideal spot for a couple or maybe a couple a friend. Great outdoor area including a grill, fire pit, lake access, and paddleboat. Got to see some interesting wildlife. Only complaint I have (not necessarily a complaint, just something I wish) was that the one bathroom only had access through the bedroom. If there was a way to access the bathroom without going into the bedroom it would've been perfect for up to 4 people even. Overall a wonderful property and had a great time.

My partner and I were so awestruck by the beauty of the property! The house was immaculately clean and the location was perfect. The lake it sat on was beautiful and serene. We had everything we needed to decompress from the daily grind. We enjoyed the cute and cozy fireplace after visiting nearby botanical gardens. The bed was so comfortable we had a hard time getting up and going. Absolutely one of the best places we have ever stayed, just wish we could have stayed longer! Definitely will be back to enjoy the serenity of this beautiful home away from home.

#### Beautiful place to relax.
We loved staying at this cottage. It was just the right size for my family and a great place to unwind. Overall it was a great stay, but I was disappointed in just a few things that could be easily fixed for the next guests. -Master bedroom bed is so uncomfortable, my husband and I did not get a restful sleep at all. It is not supportive and you feel like your head is lower than your feet. -Outdoor dining set was broken and not able to be used. We had great weather when we were here and would have loved to use it for dining. This was not disclosed before our visit and the pictures posted on the listing were not accurate. -Mother nature had blown a ton of leaves all over the deck so the first thing I did when we got in was sweep the front and back areas off so we didn't track in a bunch of leaves.

#### Little Oasis!
This property is very well maintained and cleaned. The hosts were extremely communicative and responsive. The setting was absolutely lovely as it was nestled in nature on a little lake with all kinds of birds to watch coming and going. We celebrated my daughter's college graduation and could not think of a more welcome setting. It very comfortably fits 4 people. I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful weekend at this cottage. Scott and Marilou have set this place up perfectly and the location makes it easy to get to all the attractions that you are wanting to do. Wonderfully stocked kitchen, the grill was in phenomenal condition, and the backyard is gorgeous. We had an absolute blast and cannot wait to get back. Very comfortable and accommodating space. A nice touch stone in our trip. Brought to Apopka for a family wedding and wanted to explore natural areas too. The cottage provided memorable lodging for us and close to many places on our visit iternary. Loved seeing the little lake surrounded by snowy egrets in the morning and the sound of frogs at night. Enjoyed the privacy.

Cottage was clean and very well equipped. Convenient location close to good restaurants. Yard is great for relaxing and observing rocket launches! Looking forward to returning.

#### Lovely time at the Cottage on the Lake
We were celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary and were surprised by a bottle of champagne in the fridge when we arrived! The kitchen was spotless with plenty of kitchen towels, pot holders and even dish detergent. There is a bright sun room towards the back of the cabin with windows facing the lake....we watched hawks, ducks, herons, crows and many we could not name dive in the lake, perch on the forrest across the lake and nest for the night. We fished in the lake and enjoyed the paddle boat very much. The sun rises over the lake too....very pretty with the morning fog rising. We were not far from Fort Christmas. Well worth the drive....besides the fort there are other log buildings, there are many wood frame homes set up like a village...school house, farm houses and etc. We would recommend this to a friend. I did lots of cooking and the pots, pans, coffee cake pan and dishes worked very nice for a lady that likes to cook.

Tranquility in the midst of a busy Metropolis. If you prefer a quite comfortable relaxing experience when visiting the busy Orlando parks or UCF you will love this charming cottage.

What a great little spot. So shocking that you can pull off of the hustle and bustle of Rt 436 and be here in this peacefulness within a second. Clean and cute and charming and surprisingly quiet. Very thoughtful. Also that there are plenty of things stocked in the house that you always wonder “should I buy or bring?”

My husband, daughter and I have had a fantastic time staying in the cottage. It is a lovely place to stay. The layout is great and I love the porch and deck areas. The neighborhood is quite and the lake is beautiful to watch the sun coming up in the morning. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.

#### So relaxing, pretty and roomy
The lake cottage was thoroughly delightful. The cottage is roomy and has the perfect vibe - relaxing and warm. Decor and design are spot-on. The bathroom is awesome! Spacious and well-designed. Views of the lake from the living room and back deck were perfect. There are covered and uncovered seating areas. The covered carport was SUCH a bonus! Located in a quiet area that's also very close to all kinds of amenities. Plenty of extra towels and toiletries on hand, all the kitchen utensils you could need, ice in the freezer and filtered water in the fridge. Walk in, kick your shoes off and relax. Highly recommend.

#### BOOK IT NOW!
Everything from the booking process to the day we checked out and everything in between was phenomenal! The cottage worked perfectly for our needs; close enough to Orlando to meet up with friends but far enough away to avoid the crazy crowds that come with it. Everything you could possibly need was only a mile or so away and once you turn into the neighborhood you feel like you're in a much more quiet and open space to relax and unwind. We enjoyed taking the paddle boat out on the lake, fishing, and grilling on the back deck and spent most of our time in the beautiful backyard overlooking the lake. The cottage has beautiful natural light with large windows and wood detailing that really make it stand out from other places. It was the perfect size for the two of us, spacious kitchen with all the appliances you could ask for, extremely comfortable beds, and every room was decorated with apparent love. The cottage was beautifully kept with attention to detail and VERY clean. This stood our even more because they do allow one approved pet to stay for only $25 extra a night. Unfortunately our dog stayed behind this time but we expect to bring him with us during one of our trips in the future! Last but not least, the host was responsive and friendly and very accommodating. It felt like our own little paradise where we could hide away from the world and recharge. We truly can't wait to come back as soon as we can! Thanks for everything!

#### Beautiful lakeside retreat that is close to everything
The home was perfect for my wife and I to have a getaway weekend. The home is well maintained with a great kitchen and all the essentials. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the back porch reading and watching the wildlife on the lake. We ventured out one evening to eat at Uptown and walk at Cranes Roost Park, which is only a couple of blocks away. We highly recommend staying at this wonderful lakefront cottage.
