Marin Suites Hotel

"We stayed at the Marin Suites for three nights. It was very clean and well maintained. It is an older property, but that added to the charm of the room. It was quiet even though it is a large property. They had a very nice pool and hot tub area, although we did not use the pool during our stay. Parking was adequate and we were able to park close to our room. Stayed in a King Suite that was fully equipped with a table and chairs, and a refrigerator and microwave. The room was large and spacious, something lacking in the newer motels. The bed was comfortable and there were many windows to let in natural light. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice place to stay."

"Very clean and comfortable bed. But this is a motel style place to stay. Since it is operated by Best Western the sheets and towels are decent and more like hotel quality. But the teeny room and layout is all motel. You can hear everyone outside your window since the front door opens directly to the cars. I would stay here again if needed but it is way overpriced at $200/night. It should be more like $100"

"The property was clean. The rooms are clean. The breakfast was good and made to order. There was a lot of options also for breakfast that you can get for yourself.They gave us two complementary drinks that we didn’t participate in. The bathroom was great. I just wish the beds were a little bit bigger and not so worn in but still comfortable. We stayed in the suite and it had two TVs. The pullout couch was decent to sleep on for the teenagers. overall, I feel like this was one of the better hotels with plenty of amenities for the price."

"I’ll start by saying The Lodge operates best when Leveena is working the front desk. I hope I spelled her name correctly. She took amazing care of my needs as I was recently out of a major surgery and was not able to walk. On her days off, The Lodge seemed understaffed, and certain things did not work smoothly, starting with trying to reach the front desk. One night it took nearly two hours for someone to be available to bring me ice. The restaurant next door suffered through similar staffing issues. My attempts at room service were not always successful. The QR code in my room that was supposed to show the menu to order for room service was full of drinks, but it didn’t really show a food menu, except for five happy hour items. I learned that calling works to order when someone is available to pick up the phone. Anyway, these frustrating issues were mostly due to my non-ambulatory state. The property is cute and fits in with the little town of Tiburon, which is very short walk away. My room was large, the bed gigantic and the little patio was a welcome way to soak up some afternoon sun. The restaurant has a very cool patio as well that would be a great way to end the day with a few drinks. The staff at both, when available, was sweet. I am having a family member stay at The Lodge in a few weeks, so I obviously like the place. I just think the staffing needs bulking up, and Laveena and her smile should be cloned!"
