Motel 6 Gilroy, CA

This Motel 6 is a step up from what you usually get at a Motel 6. The rooms were nicely appointed and basic. My only issue was with the lighting in the rooms. The lights were fitted with very bright cold white bulbs which were too bright. This is a problem at other locations and is admittedly a pet peeve.

Everything was awesome, pool and gym and laundry all on property. Gym and Laundry are 24hr which im so grateful for.
The elevator, something that normally doesnt bother me, terrified me with the way it would stick and lurch as it went up, going down was fine, up was terrifying.

I wasn’t expecting all that much because of the low price. I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was spotless, huge shower. Bath robes, make up mirror. They had more amenities than the Hilton we stayed at the night before. Best bang for the buck ever.

Decent motel an hour south of San Francisco. A bit noisy with the freeway but the place is good value for what you pay. The check-in guy was very friendly!
