"The traditional room and breakfast were fantastic, and it was nice and close to popular tourist destinations like Senso-ji and many shopping streets too."

"The traditional style of the building made for a very cool stay, the room was nice and felt spacious and the beds were comfortable to sleep on as well. I also loved the plants and neighborhood that surrounded the ryokan too. All made for a very comforting stay."

I loved my short time at Cyashitsu Ryokan. The staff were all so sweet and helpful. The rooms are set up in traditional style, so be aware the doorways and ceiling are low. It's a short walk from Senso-ji and Asakusa Station. Asakusa is an interesting area; full of covered markets and great food. The ryokan even has a big book or restaurant and entertainment recommendations. Breakfast was Japanese style and delicious. The private bath is great if you're shy like me. Very nice property. Excellent friendly staff. In business location not near much so taxis or transit taking is required. You need to want to stay in a traditional Japanese or you will not enjoy the hotel. It is not westernized at all. Food is all traditional.
