"A beautiful hotel in a historic building right next to vinyards. Located just on the other side of the hill from Tokaj village, this is a peaceful and secluded spot with lush gardens, tennis courts, a pool, and a terrace under huge trees perfect for sipping some of the estate's fantastic wines. Do a tasting if you can. Excellent food with unusual pairings of their sweet wines. Great base for exploring Tokaj and the Zemplen hills, although true exploration would probably require a car. 10 min by taxi into Tokaj. We had a nice tasting at a winery in Tokaj, but honestly we were happiest just sitting on the terrace at Degenfeld trying the different dry and sweet wines they produce and walking through the vinyards."
