« Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

« If I could give Brook Trout Inn ten stars I would. Julie, her husband Steve, and their right hand woman, Holly, were welcolming, friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless, the breakfast eggs were cooked to order with almost everything else you could ask for to start the day. « This is the affordable gem we've been looking for!! Other places in this price range are not this nice, clean, and well kept. The beds are super comfortable beds and here is plenty of space in the room. Praise the Lord we found this place! »

« This property is in a fantastic location! Less than 15 minutes to several different cute mountain towns. The property is nice but the single lane road throughout the property is anxiety inducing and should probably be disclosed in the details. Although set up quite strangely with no sink or counter space in the bathroom, the room was very nice. The ceiling fan was another story. My husband and I agreed that we have never heard a ceiling fan make so many different, strange, loud noises. And there...

« This is such a wonderful place. Very beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed sitting in the large covered porch and looking over city and French Broad River. The room was marvelous and shower was wonderful. Very clean and the bed was marvelous. We slept so well.
