"Very cozy. This place makes you feel like home. The bedroom is nice and clean. The common room, where you can put your food in the fridge, provides free coffee/tea. It is a shared bathroom that you can put “in use” sign for your own private use. The staff is so kind. He also recommended the nearby place to see the autumn leaves. "We took japanese style bedroom but the futons were super thin so uncomfortable. The private onsen was a bit smelly making the experience less enjoyable. For the travel to reach the place, we struggle little to go by bus. For the positive, the staff was amazing and helpful, the breakfast has lot of varieties for everyone. The room was super clean, spacious and very beautiful. Spending time with dogs around was lovely... what an amazing concept hotel."

"Our Japanese style room was a great experience with an amazing view of the mountain, river, and waterfalls. The half board dinner and breakfast were excellent meals and they accommodated our vegetarian diet (with advanced notice). "Booked to stay here for an authentic Ryokan Onsen experience on our Japan holiday. This was our first time at both a ryokan and an Onsen so we don’t have an awful lot to compare it to on those aspects. However, the positives of the hotel were that the staff were very friendly and happy to help. They spoke a small amount of English and were happy to try to assist when needed. "Staff was spectacular, I'm so sorry they have to deal with less than delightful guests on what seems like a regular basis. We greatly appreciate you and enjoyed our gift of champagne. Area is very walkable, bed is on the softer side of Japans hotel beds. Our room was big enough and it was one of the smaller ones. There is a smoking room by the elevator that opens frequently so there is some cigarette smell when you go to the lobby. I do wish there was some food options though, Takayama restaurants close pretty early in the vicinity and it would be stellar if there was more available at the hotel. Breakfast options were great, maybe add a dinner too?"
