We were asked to check in between 2pm-5pm. We were glad to have made it around 3. From the entrance outside, the lobby, and the rooms it was a beautiful ryokan. The staff was very helpful, accommodating, and really made us feel welcomed and taken care of. The dinner and breakfast is all seasonal vegetables and meat and it is very filling. The chefs took care in presentation and preparation. The dining area was also such a beautiful experience. Lastly, having our own private onsen was amazing. Highly recommend this stay. Please be aware it is a small area not much to do around. Def wortg the trip! The onsen was amazing,the rooms were beautiful ,the dinner and breakfast experience delicious,and the staff super sweet. One thing to note, this is about an hr bus ride from Takayama station!
