Great stay nordegg area
sweet little cabin, on an interesting property. The owner was great and came for a visit to see how things were going, and Nordegg is such a great area for hikes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Perfect Location
Excellent accommodation. Quiet and relaxing. Fire pit and barbecue were used and enjoyed by all. Smores were perfect. The location allowed use to easily walk, bike, run or drive to many delightful locations.

Great cozy little cabin with all the important amenities. Our family had a wonderful time exploring the area. The kids loved the near by creek and surrounding wild life. Will be back in 2024!

Life Is Good
Stop surfing 'cabin rentals' and just book this place! My biggest issue with rentals is cleanliness, and this place was Perfectly Clean. I was very impressed. We had ample time to get settled in, and just as we poured a glass of wine to relax we had a knock on the door. Kurt and his wife, Carla, said hello to us and made us feel welcome. They offered extra bedding and anything else we may have forgotten or needed. We were very lucky with the weather on our hike up Coliseum Mountain the next day...rain started soon after we got back to cabin. Pretty sure others were fairly wet by the time they got down! We had a fire in the cute little wood stove to warm up, with another glass of wine (of course) and had a cozy night in the rain. Kindling, wood and fire starter were all ready and waiting. The beds were super comfortable too. It was a wonderful weekend in nature to celebrate my sister-in-laws birthday! Life Is Good

Great cabin in the west country
The cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. This cabin is one of the best VRBO's we have stayed in as it was exceptionally well stocked. The kitchen had everything. Enjoyed having TV so could watch the play offs in the evening. Even though this cabin is part of a larger resort, it was very private and we could enjoy the outdoor space without noticing others around. Very clean and great communication with owners. Lots to enjoy in the area. Highly recommend.

Weekend getaway
The cabin is very cute with beautiful surroundings and ready access to great hikes. The kitchen and living areas were adequate for our needs. The only thing keep us from giving 5 stars is the sleeping areas. The beds were not particularly comfortable, bouncing when someone moved, and with very thin pillows. In spite of this, we would consider going again and recommending to friends.

Wonderful property and area
Stayed for 3 nights with my fiancé and it was a wonderful experience. Kurt, the host, was super friendly and helpful; giving us great suggestions for places to go & lending us his trail guide. The place was well stocked with fire wood, pantry items, dishes, etc. All we needed to do was bring food and we were set! The area of Nordegg is absolutely gorgeous and there were so many wonderful trails to chose from all along the highway. Make sure you stop in and get the pie in town! It was honestly the best. Highly recommend staying here and would happily rebook in the future.

Our stay was wonderful! The cabin was well-stocked with amenities and very clean. Even though it was quite hot outside, the cabin stayed relatively cool. Great hikes in the area and lots of beautiful scenery. Would definitely stay here again!

This is an amazing property. Kurt was awesome and made sure we had all we needed to enjoy our stay. Would go back and recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful relaxing mountain holiday
Half hour drive to Siffleur Falls from this cabin. Two hour hike, highly recommend!

Wonderful as usual!
This was our second time in the cabin and it was even better than the last. So much to do around nordegg and to come back to such a cozy cabin is more than I can ask for really. Sometimes you have to sit and just be thankful to get the chance to experience such beauties and relaxation. Also, can't go without saying, the owner is knowledgeable, accommodating and very friendly. Highly reccomend this stay!

Amazing Cabin in the Woods!

Lovely stay in scenic Nordegg
My family (2 kids age 9 & 12) had a wonderful time staying in this cabin. It was perfectly situated: in very peaceful and pretty countryside, close to some excellent hikes. The cabin was really well stocked: it had everything we needed plus some (to the extent that it was clear the hosts are very considerate people thinking ahead about what their guests might need). Kurt even brought over numerous boardgames for the kids, which made our stay feel extra special. We are looking forward to returning!

Great Home Base for nearby Lakes & Trails
Kurt was so friendly and helpful. The accommodations are very clean and the kitchen is well stocked. We brought a portable mattress that fit up in the loft for a total of 4 kids. Wifi isn’t the greatest, but we came to disconnect for a few days. Had a great time and would recommend the property to others.

Exactly what we wanted!
My wife and 2 kids came out here looking for some adventures, relaxation and escape from the city. Thats exactly what we found! The cabin was clean and everything you can think of was provided, from fire wood to marshmallow sticks. Kurt was very friendly and helpful, he genuinely wanted your experience to be enjoyable. We would definitely come back as there was so much more to do and see!

A much needed getaway
My husband, sister, our Bichon Shitzu, and I spent 3 nights at the Homesteader Cabin. We enjoyed exploring the Nordegg area during the day. Did some hiking and fishing. We were always very happy to return to the Cabin to enjoy our glass of wine before barbecuing our supper. Waking up in the morning and having our coffee on the verandah, and sitting by the fire at night. We were happy to see that there was a nice grassy area for our dog as well. It was 30 degrees Celsius 2 of the days we were there, but to our surprise and pleasure, the cabin was very cool inside. The cabin was very clean and cosy, and provided all the privacy we needed. We would definately recommend this cabin to our family and friends. Thanks to Shelley and her husband, who live in a neighboring cabin. We enjoyed chatting with them on our walks, and it was comforting knowing that if we needed anything they were there.

Hidden Gem!
Had a wonderful time at the Homesteader Cabin. Easy check in, cabin was spotless, endless firewood, beautiful surroundings...we wanted for nothing! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could ever need as well as the bathroom. Our dog loved it too! We were so happy this place was pet friendly so she could enjoy a vacation as well. Wifi is spotty but who cares you shouldn’t be on your phone anyways out there. Fire pit was well used and The BBQ works like a dream. We had a rainy day so it was nice to enjoy the atmosphere of the cabin and enjoy an indoor fire, Would highly recommend, we’ll be back soon!

Quiet location nice hiking trails nearby.

Absolutely fabulous getaway
Want to stay in a log cabin with full amenities, build a fire at night both inside in the gorgeous wood burning fireplace, and outside in the backyard fire pit (either with wood you chopped yourself or provided for you), cook in the full capacity kitchen, take photos of the Big Dipper above, and go for drives to nearby lake Abraham to view stunning scenery including caribou or even bears? If so this place is for you! We will be back for sure!
