This must have been a pretty fancy place a long time ago. I thought it was expensive for what it was, but I guess that is expected in a touristy area in August.
We were a little bit disappointed as we had just driven 5 hours up hwy 40 with zero services, and when we arrived at the resort and got checked in, the restaurant was closed. There is a convenience store, but they did not have anything other than chips and pop! (there was mac and cheese, but no facilities to actually cook and eat that)... so our family ate chips and dip for dinner. We thought maybe if we at least bought a carton of milk, that might count as some sustenance, but there wasn't even milk! Perhaps we just came on the wrong day of the week.
We would stay again for sure, but to camp next time - and come more prepared.
