"Had everything you could desire, full kitchen, hot showers and Internet. Nice tvs and the beds were comfortable too. Felt like home. Managed to see the Copper Harbor area and the Porcupine Mnts in two days from here. Would stay again!"

"What a great little motel! If you've ever felt the tug of nostalgia about staying at a true mom & pop roadside motel like the ones that we used to have in the US, this is the place to stay at! It was like stepping back into the 1970s....except for the flat screen TV....the old wrought-iron bed....the wooden nightstands...dinette table with wooden chairs....this is what I remember hotels along route 66 being like back in the day! Just a few miles from town, and directly across the street from the bay (do NOT MISS sunrise! It was glorious!) this was the perfect way to be secluded in comfort on our road trip tour of the UP. Clean, super reasonable price, quiet, easy to get to....not a single negative to report. Coffee maker, big refrigerator, microwave, all the needs met. Lots of hot water too! This little GEM of a motel is now on my permanent list of where to stay when we are back in the UP! The nightstand even had a PHONE BOOK...talk about a blast from the past! They even provided a box fan for white noise sleeping like a rock! The air conditioner blew cold too. Screen door on entrance so you can sleep with the main door open if you wanted to. Hats off to the owners! THANK YOU SO MUCH! "

"We loved the serenity and beauty of this “ off the beaten path “ home. It was large enough to house our 6 young grandchildren, their parents and us. Absolutely loved it! Fished a little bit, kids fished, and enjoyed Houghten. Thank you!"

"the road noise on arrival was loud due being next to 41, during sleep the sound was mitigated by the HVAC.We understood that before booking.There was a nice fire pit and good people on the other 2 sites. Overall a good stay for an untweaked rustic.Bathroom and kitchen very clean. Floors and screens could have been cleaner. We enjoyed our stay and host got back to us when we had questions. Its partial camping, not a hotel room."

"Property was just as described with a beautiful view of the lake. Campfire area was clean and plenty of room for our group to gather around. The deck is huge with a view of the lake. Plenty of beds and all spaced out nicely. Property was clean and had all the essentials that you may need and not think about. Communication was speedy thru the entire process. Definitely worth the stay! Thanks for having our group!"
