"Air conditioning and staff were good, there is a little breakfast spot at the front desk to grab a fresh piece of fruit and a coffee. Not a fancy spot but beds are clean and it’s a place to lay your head and do so affordably."

Maplewood Lake House - Boat Rentals, Private Dock

"Our family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children, ages 9-13) had the best VRBO experience in 8 years. The property was perfect for our family. Plenty of sleeping choices for finicky sleepers, outstanding gathering choices and abundant fun games, both of the board, ping pong, electric darts, and volleyball variety. Not to mention the joy of a vast expansive waterfront with a dock, water trampoline, etc. and untold hoursof bass and sunny fishing. Neighborhood also great for walking/running. The kitchen included every amenity we could even dream of wanting. The deck was sublime for all our meals. Friendly rocking chairs around firepits at the house and shore were a welcoming addition and an enticing view from the water. We hope to return. Hannaford is nearby but restaurant choices are limited. Not to worry, blackstone grill and regular grill provided fine options. We hope to return."

"We loved this place! First of all communication with host was timely and provided the pertinent information. Secondly - everything was clean and well stocked with towels and the basic supplies. We went here to get away from it all in a quiet serene setting and the lake delivered - whether it was a rainy day or a sunny day (We had them both), this vrbo was in a very relaxing setting, We also were able to get out ON the lake thanks to a tandem kayak that was on the premises. At days end there was a fire pit which we were able to use thanks to the ample supply of wood that was there. There was also a rack of wonderful information for exploring different parts of Maine. I kept stating to my spouse that "This place is perfect!" Speaking of perfection, the sunsets here were amazing. & Last comment - from the back door -till you are in the lake 12 steps ... yes, perfect."

"Small, well maintained property. Affordable but limited amenities, no breakfast on site but available in the area, clean motel type rooms. Would recommend running the fan overnight, building sits along a significant highway and truckers were using engine breaks to slow which could be controlled with a background of fan noise. Overall a good value and a good spot between southern and central Maine."

"Die Unterkunft liegt an einem schönen Ort und die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe. Unsere Kinder haben den Ort geliebt und waren die ganze Zeit mit den Kajaks unterwegs. Das Bad und die Küche sind gut eingerichtet. Die Bettlaken waren sauber."
