We stayed three nights in late October, the town was quiet, the hotel was very well maintained, the room is spacious and hotel dining area is clean. breakfast was simple but adequate for low season, we appreciated the special efforts for preparing them. Hotel location is convenient to access to many great attractions in Rocky Harbour area.

Beautiful room with an amazing view. We had everything to cook with except a BQ. We enjoyed watching humpback whales from our balcony also dolphins. If we were to go back I would get their cabin up on the hill for a better view or the bigger cabins on tbe water with hottubs. Staff were friendly.

This place is quite unique. It breaths history. It is filled with many period artefacts and the owner Bill Marshall plays a great period music. He is a gracious host, very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, about 3 min. walk to the middle of Water St. downtown. Our room was comfortable, lots of storage and hooks, comfortable double bed. What a stay! Gorgeous building, done extremely stylishly, minutes away from the historic strip in St. John's. The hosts were responsive, helpful, and warm; the breakfasts were great (especially before long hikes!); the rooms were beautiful. Cocktail hour didn't hurt either ;) A lovely time.
